Catch me I'm falling, faster than anyone should.
Next to Normal, Act 1 - West End (2024)
I love how Henry soley exits to be Natalie's supportive boyfriend.
Expect Israel's bot army to be extra active in the coming days and weeks, and not just on Tiktok
By making pro Palestine posts, you're making a difference
honestly, completely understandable reaction
Hope is such a present motif in Hadestown. It’s hope that starts Orpheus down the path of singing his song. Hope in a better life, a future where the world is as it should be. It’s hope that makes him speak to Eurydice for the first time. Hope that makes her fall for him, in spite of everything she has seen. It’s hope that send Orpheus down into the Underworld. A place that lost hope long ago. It’s hope that makes him sing his song in front of Hades. Hope that the king of shadows, a king who forgot what love was, will remember that again. The same hope that begins to thaw Hades’ heart. Hope that makes Orpheus and Eurydice begin their journey home together. Even though doubt creeps in at the end. It’s hope that makes every audience member gasp, and silently cry, when Orpheus turns around. Even though we’ve heard the story a thousand times. Even though at the beginning we are warned that this is a sad tale from long ago. And it’s hope that keeps this story from fading. That keeps us singing the story over and over. Each change, each iteration thrives on hope. That makes us press play on the album each time. Hope that it’ll turn out different this time, even though in the back of our minds it won’t.
It’s hope.
if anyone has an audio from Jack Wolfe's 54 Below show last night i would love to trade :)))))
the dark of hes not here into the bright white light of you dont know immediately ughhh also natalie and henry watching you dont know/i am the one from the staircase landing makes the number(s) so despicableeeee. like in the obc i rlly sympathize with diana while shes talking abt how fucked her sitch is + i sympathize with dan for having his feelings get swept under the rug... it is Their Moment. but in the revival w natalie watching them it makes them both just feel like shitty parents likee.... girl put the chair down ur daughter is havinng a panic attack. AND this makes superboy feel like a Direct Response to watching the you dont know/i am the one fight
the revival reaaalllyy lets dan and diana feel like shit parents, where i think the obc gives them a little more leeway, and it is super interesting. it makes maybe/ntn feel like a whole other song
Imagine going to your big piano recital that is supposed to get you into Yale, your parents don't show up, you have a breakdown on stage, you go home and find out that your mom attempted suicide, and then when you see her three weeks later she has forgotten you.
There’s something about the focus on Gabe (in both productions) in the fandom to the point it overshadows everyone else + the focus on Gabe in the story overshadowing everyone in Diana’s life. I love Gabe too but you have to admit it’s ironic 😭
