If you play today’s ultra-sweet Google Doodle Global Candy Cup, you can see my illustrations when you beat the game with the witch of your choice! I created the share images that you can post on Facebook or Twitter. You can also read about the personalities and quirks of each character here!
It was a lot of fun to work with their adorable character designs and to have a chance to flex my hand-lettering muscles. The game was designed by Sophie Diao, who also created all the assets, and animated by Nate Swinehart. Engineering by Ariel Lee, Maura Fitzgerald, Kris Hom, and Corrie Scalisi. Music and sound effects by Aivi & Surasshu. Thanks to my ADs Sophie Diao and Liat Ben-Rafael for including me in this super fun project!
Go play it! It’s pretty dang charming.
so thoughtful
The deadline for Bits in Multiples of 8: an 8bit-64-bit Video Game Fan Art Zine is TOMORROW!!! If you’re stressed out about making the deadline, I’ve provided you with some soothing music to listen to while scrambling to get your work done. >:D

Me and my fox friend want to welcome you ♥
SPX this past weekend was amazing. It always roars up like a storm and then flies by too fast! I had such a great time seeing everyone and the response to “Cauldrons & Casseroles” was more enthusiastic than I'd hoped for, so thanks to everyone that bought a copy! If you're wondering about how to buy a copy for yourself, they, along with giclée prints, LOOT tote bags, the MINISCULE (as in 3) amount of enamel pins remaining will be up on my store, andreakalfas.bigcartel.com on Monday, next week.
I'm also going to be at Baltimore Comic Con with Pizza Party Printing and Jimmy Giegerich (who’ll be selling his unbelievably good “Fight Frogs 2″) this weekend so you can grab a copy there too! ♡♡♡
thank goodness...

I created my own cover illustration of William Gibson’s Neuromancer (one of my favorites) for Atomic Book’s “Jackets and Sleeves” show. Up for just a little while longer at Atomic!
My Life, a comedy.

My boyfriend Jimmy and I (much more rarely on my part) collect kaiju figures, and as you can see, we have a good amount (though not compared to the hard core collectors). So, since I see these every time I enter my door, and because they're really a lot of fun and have some wild designs, I decided to do a little painting of Kittyfire. She's one of the few female giant monsters and you can see her there in the right corner of the photo. So many of them have such awesome color variations and this figure has one of my favorites: red-orange on a glow-in-the-dark base. Very nice.
Next I definitely want to paint some Hedorahs once I clear my plate a little! And Agasukeron! Heck yes.
