I know people from college who got good in languages and now offer to tutor people they know, and they charge their friends for teaching. and that makes sense! it takes considerable time and effort to plan lessons and prep materials, it's like if you have a friend who crochets or quilts and you ask them to make you a blanket for free...? which everyone on here agrees is in extremely bad taste
