"Ragazzi, per Dio, why is everyone being silly? Eli, caro, where is your father, puppy Sara gets fussy when he's not around -"
"Oh, can I hold her?"
"Anthony, amore, you've seen more of her than I have Yasmin where are we going -"
"Surprise!"
"No, che cazzo, I've just had one -" Daniel turned to Samantha. "Mi'angelina, I can't leave your Nonna with all the preparations -"
Sammy grinned. "She's not alone, Mama."
Daniel sighed. "What has gotten into everyone? Where are Gianni and Robby, who is watching Luna? Passerotta, dov'è vai?!?" But Yasmin only blew him a kiss from behind the steering wheel. "I'm under orders, and Mama, this is not an Italian level emergency."
"I can make it an Italian level emergency if you don't tell me-"
But Eli pulled him close. "Mama, you'll like it."
"It's a christening, it's not about me; why can't we all celebrate your sister?" As on cue, Sara let out a sharp cry. "You see? Sweetheart should be resting and all of you -"
"I can hold her -"
"Anthony!"
That was four voices in unison and Daniel was slammed with guilt. He unfastened baby Sara from his chest and handed her to his son. "Careful now, watch her head." But Anthony was enraptured, and Daniel kissed his crown as he coo'd at his sister. "You're a good brother, Tony, love."
"Coming up," Sammy said and Daniel saw his now second youngest daughter straining at Gianni's hand to get to the car even before they had reached the hotel entrance. "Mama, come quick, it's so beautiful -"
"Luna, stellina mia, don't hurt your brother, Eli, Sammy, will someone watch my baby, you can't just leave one baby with another it's not safe -" But then Gianni and Eli, as ever in perfect tandem, got him out of the car and up to the entrance, which Daniel just about allowed because he saw Sammy herd up Anthony and Sara to safety from the corner of his eye before Yasmin drove off to park. "Dai, Topolino!!" he scolded Gianni, who towered over him, but his son only looked at his brother as both Alphas pulled him along. "Italian level?"
"I'm clocking 52."
"I will clock you both..." but then he got quiet. Luna was running up and down the stairs. "This is it, isn't it?"
Daniel said nothing. His sons let him go as Luna grabbed both his hands. "This is where you got married?"
Daniel nodded.
"Oh!" Eli said. "We've only seen pictures of the inside!"
Daniel tried to gather his thoughts. "Where's Robby?"
"Oh, he got talking to Tory," Luna said. "Mama it's so pretty -"
"Luna, don't," Sammy said behind him. She and Anthony walked up to Daniel, and his son wordlessly handed him the baby. "I didn't know that, Mama," Sammy said.
He stroked Sara's head. "I... They have great catering, I understand why your Nonna didn't want to organise the whole thing by herself." He shook his head. "I could have done it, I've done it for all of your christenings -"
Sammy kissed his cheek. "It really is beautiful."
He swallowed. "Of course it is. How could it not be with all my loves... Where is Robby? Gianni, will you look for -"
"Yasmin's coming, Mama," Gianni said quietly.
"Andiamo, then," Daniel said. "Let's toast your sister."
In the lobby, Daniel was met by his parents. "Look at that beautiful baby," Lucille said, and he handed the puppy to her, kissed his father's cheek. "Papa, dimme, cosa sta -" but his father put his finger to his lips. "Va bene, Daniele," he said, before scooping up Luna. "Buongiorno principessa," he smiled, stroking her hair. "Do you want to show Mama his surprise?"
"Yes, come on, Nonno, tell him!"
Sara did not like all the commotion, and wailed again. Daniel took her from his mother. "I know, cucciolina, I know," he mumbled into her hair, then looked to his mother: "Ma, please, if you need help, just tell me."
She shrugged, smiling. "It wasn't my idea."
Then down the hallway, doors - the same doors, he knew those doors - opened and Robby came out. "Good, you're here. Mama, they're waiting!"
He swallowed. "I've seen everyone, per Dio, what are they waiting for?"
Luna had slipped down and was pulling at his jacket. "The dance, Mama!"
And who could deny that darling anything? All his pups looked excited, and even Sara had calmed, so he made his way as he'd had before, more than twenty years ago.
He was, of course, dressed in his Sunday best, a broken white suit to go with the pristine white draped around his darling baby. Both outfits were new, the former clothes thoroughly worn by the first litter. But Terry, standing in the middle of the room, had changed into a tuxedo, silver threaded, a red rose in his pocket. And then there was a band. Or rather, a full on orchestra. He had no idea what it was playing, over the cheers of congratulations, he simply brought his baby puppy to his mate, who took her and lifted her up towards the crowd.
It was... a bit much. Of course he was happy and grateful for this new, sweet blessing and love in his life. But he loved all his pups, and felt much better as they all joined for pictures, Luna snuggled between him and Terry. Then Terry handed the baby to Robby, nodded to the rest of the family, who left the floor, and signalled to the orchestra.
Musetta's waltz.
"What are you doing?" Daniel whispered.
Terry smiled. "Come."
He felt the same - the exact same mess of emotions well up in him as when they'd first embraced here. Scared and raw and hopeful and excited and mad and soft. He looked up, a tear spilling out of the corner of his right eye.
"Let's do it again," Terry whispered in his ear.
He swallowed. "What?"
"Anywhere you want," Terry went on. "Any way you want. How it should have been."
Daniel smirked. "That's nonsense."
Terry pulled him very close. "I want to give you what you need. What you should have had."
He cuddled in. "We can't turn back."
"Mo cuishle..."
He looked up. "Let's keep dancing," he said. "We need to keep dancing. OK?"
Terry paused, then kissed his head.
"Yes, my Queen." He smiled. "OK."
heres my roman empire
I think that while there is an interest in Kreese/Johnny, there are also so many who don't ship them simply because there is no underlying sexual tension there. Unlike Silverusso where that sexual tension and Terry's obsessive interest in Daniel is undeniable even to haters and Cobra Husbands fans, Kreeance doesn't have that.
There's the toxic father/son relationship and blatant obsession, but there is a lack of sexual interest there which was so apparent between Terry and Daniel in KK3 and so many of their scenes in CK--especially in S6.
I don't say this as hate, I ship everything including Kreeance. Lol
Spending a significant time on Ao3 may make anyone feel tension between characters must mean erotic tension (because of course that is the only tension so many mainstream films will absolutely not allow the story to resolve on screen). But of course you can have intensely deep relationships that are not necessarily erotic and still deeply, profoundly interesting.
But young Terry Silver and Daniel LaRusso, with the way older Terry still eats Daniel alive with his gaze while begging to be vulnerable with him... Like, I know people don't consciously choose what they're attracted to because never in a million years would I have chosen to become obsessed with Silverusso, OK. How would you even begin to explain it and what is it doing in The Karate Kid. Maybe it is inevitable that Daniel ran into a man who said the quiet part out loud without having to be drunk: he is cute enough to devour and that is exactly what I am gonna do. I feel that had Miyagi not shown, that film would not have stayed a children's film.
If a man acts around you like Terry is acting, he does not want to teach you karate, ok. That is not what this is and apparently it's undeniable. Not only did young Terry want that cookie, I am 100% certain that Daniel was so happy going out with Jessica that night because he'd had that cookie and enjoyed every mouthful.
I'm not surprised even the haters admit Daniel got groomed by Terry. I am perplexed that it wasn't rated NC17. And yet even Cobra Kai can't fully own up to it, that mania between them, only to turn around and have Daniel put in a dog cage, after which Terry emotionally opens up to Daniel at the LaRusso kitchen table.
Because this is about karate, apparently.
a bad show? that's nothing? a good show? sure. but a bad show that, for a brief moment, becomes very good, and then never is again? that'll drive a person to madness
Silverusso fight but I see red is the soundtrack
Dae-ho fans thinking they were gonna get an exploration of ptsd flashbacks only for Dae-ho to have a complete personality transplant and admit he lied about being in the marines
Hyun-ju fans thinking they were gonna get a bunch more badass scenes with her only for her to get killed off in episode 2 by the worst character ever
Jun-ho fans thinking he was actually going to be allowed to shine and impact the plot in a tangible way this time only for the writers to pull yet another "you could take him out of the show and the plot wouldn't really change"
Hwang brothers fans thinking they were going to get the reunion they were all waiting for only for Jun-ho to shout a few words at In-ho from a considerable distance away and then nothing more
Inhun / 457 fans anticipating the big reveal of who In-ho really is to Gi-hun only for it to last two minutes, with Gi-hun never finding out In-ho's true identity as Jun-ho's brother, no exploration into why In-ho became the front man, etc
Gi-hun fans thinking he would survive because surely after all he's been through he'll be allowed to live only for... yeah
Fandoms stopped being a fun escape from reality when people started spreading the belief that you should prioritize purity over pleasure and the art you create must be a reflection of your moral standards at all times.

#I will die on the hill that Daniel was legit in love with the version of Terry he got to know at first#And when that man turned out not to be real and Terry turned out to be the worst kind of villain (to Daniel)#Daniel had to walk back big parts of himself and stuff them in a box and it fucked him up pretty badly#This man never really worried about Kreese or Johnny#But it was Terry and the parts of Daniel that liked him that scared the shit out of Daniel#And that's why he responded to Cobra Kai in the way that he did#It was the shame and humiliation and betrayal that did him in#Not the threat of violence

The Karate Kid Part III / Cobra Kai Season 6 Episode 13
I find it interesting that both Terry and Kreese are absolutely obsessed with their respective students (Daniel, Johnny) even decades later and yet hardly anyone ships Kreese/Johnny while Terry/Daniel is shipped or at the very least acknowledged even by Silverusso haters. Even they can’t seem to deny Terry’s eternal “thing” with Daniel.
I suppose the sheer VIBES Terry gives off whenever Danny boy is concerned is off the charts even in S6, but come on…Kreese’s obsession with Johnny is pretty blatant and can be seen as something else too! And yet their relationship is almost always portrayed as a twisted father/son one while Terry/Daniel is…!!!
I happen to like both pairings so I’m always like…??
I've read people shipping Kreese with Johnny because it definitely could be that, but I suppose there is a lot of plausible deniability if it doesn't float your boat. There's very little plausible deniability where Terry is concerned. I did not know about Terry when watching S4, and the interactions between Terry and Daniel were quite sparse. Obviously something went down, but for now, the relationship between Kreese and Terry was the main focus and very interesting. But I still felt, mmmkay, what does he want? Kreese is gone, and maybe he could keep Cobra Kai running out of sheer spite, but that's a pretty weak motivation. He gave up on CK before and had no desire to come back. And what's with Daniel doubling down anyway? So what if Terry takes over Cobra Kai? Johnny is out of it (and for Johnny it's very personal, him against Daniel) but Terry? They clearly had a bad experience but they don't have to engage. Terry can stop Daniel teaching karate as little as Daniel can stop Terry. I could get Daniel being concerned about the kids but that is ultimately not his responsibility. So why does Terry not leave, as his mission with Kreese seems accomplished...? And even if he did stay, why does Daniel not go on with his life? Reasonably, they're both adults and there is nothing they can legally do to stop each other doing what they're doing. Which is the view Amanda takes in all this. I thought the drama was going to be keeping the kids out of a dojo being run by someone only the audience knows is dangerously, violently, abusive. And they did that to some extent. But that still doesn't explain why Terry should be so fixated on Cobra Kai, not for a whole season...
Turns out he wasn't. Never has been. Terry doesn't play by any reasonable rules, as shown by how far he went over a teenage karate tournament. And loyalty is not the only factor. But if he is both insane (which you'd have to be to go that far and climb up a chimney) and obsessed with Daniel under a respectable veneer... Yes that is dangerous. That is personally dangerous to Daniel. Which Daniel recognises and has a completely appropriate reaction to in bringing in Chozen. (Also he has a complete inability to be normal around Terry)
Which is a long winded way of saying Kreese/Johnny is a possibility among several others. Some people enjoy having a platonic hold over a mentee - see films like Whiplash, or Breaking Bad. You can ship Walt/Jesse but you don't have to. It can be twisted father & son.
Terry's continued involvement with Cobra Kai only makes sense if this is about Daniel. Nobody takes every opportunity to fuck with Daniel the way Terry does in S5 - buying himself into Amanda's charity work, seeking him out at golf, threatening him in a sauna, burning down Mike's store - if this were not deeply personal between them. Take the stalking and the D/s dojo sessions where Terry takes every opportunity to touch Daniel intimately in the film and what else could it possibly be?!
"Just like I taught you, Danny-boy "
Ummm Daniel being a little more assertive 🫣 I just know Silver would LOVE if he pulled his own moves on him 😋
