The Virginia Opossum, a fairly common animal in the southeast USA, but usually not seen out and about in the daytime. Always nice to have some possum pics!

Had a visitor to my parent’s house last Friday. This opossum climbed up into the birdfeeder, then went for the suet. After he finished, he went back to the bird feeder and slept in the sun for a little while.

It really shouldn't be all that uncommon - having a wish you'd go so far as to trade your life for. I think there are a lot of people in the world with wishes and desires like that. If we can't think of anything, it just means that we really haven't had anything that bad happen to us. We've had too much given to us and have become dull and stupid. It makes me wonder: Why us? Don't you think it's unfair? I'm sure there are other people who'd really want a chance like this.

Yes, a pika is a real animal and it’s cute af!!! Belonging to the same order as rabbits and hares (Lagomorphs), there are about 30 species of pika belonging to their own scientific family Ochotonidae. Pikas live in the mountains or at high elevations. They are herbivores, and are smart enough to gather grasses and plants to store in their dens for the long, hard winters.
