Just for the record, I would like to clarify that while yes this post is 1000% inclusive of therians/otherkin/alterhumans in general, in fact one of the main reasons I wrote it stemmed from my frustration about there not being enough species-inclusive language within human dominated society for individuals who don't conform to ideas about humanity, it's also very much so about biological/theriform animals as well. Please do not leave these beings out in discussions about anti-homo sapien supremacy and speciesism.
Your beloved childhood dog is just as much of a person as your dog therian friend is. Centering human lived experiences at the expense of other creatures, even from nonhuman people, is still a form of speciesism, please don't forget about the different kinds of animals you share the Earth with when talking about making the world a more welcoming and inclusive place!!
I think we need to normalize using "people" as a species neutral word.
Like idk in my brain the word people just doesn't automatically = human. To me it's just a way to signify intelligence and individuality, and to emphasize the need for respect towards another creature, not specific to any one species.
Dogs can be people, mice can be people, dragons can be people, humans can be people, birds can be people, elves can be people, robots can be people, and so on.
It's also (in my opinion) just much easier than always saying "beings" or "individuals" when referring to varying assortments of creatures.
Massive gripe ive been having with primarily the therian community lately, I really dont feel like we focus enough on animal rights causes considering how "connected" we're supposed to be to nonhumans.
Like I see it around for sure, but when I do it usually isn't more than just "hunting for sport is bad👍" or "dont beat your dog 👍" and that's it. The main focus of the community is still very much on biologically human individuals rather than on bio nonhumans, who are very literally treated like garbage in society and it's frustrating because i feel like we should be right there on the front lines when it comes to animal liberation.
Im not saying all of us need to be members of ALF or anything, im not even vegan and have no plans to be, but as of rn the community's overall acknowledgment and support of animal rights causes is pretty pathetic. Hell, I still hear therians confidently and proudly infantilize adult/highly intelligent nonhuman species ("animals have the intelligence of human toddlers") and spread blatant misinformation about them. Shit just annoys me

Animals used in rodeos often suffer fatal injuries, including broken backs and necks, heart attacks, and aneurysms.
Those who manage to make it through unscathed are given little time to rest or recuperate. They are loaded into trucks, hauled to the next event, and forced to participate over and over again.
The animals used in rodeo events would naturally live and feel safest in a herd. During events, they are separated, confined, and then provoked in front of a crowd to perform certain behaviours associated with their fear response.
When they become too old or worn out to continue, “retirement” is often a one-way trip to the slaughterhouse.
I don’t think that people grasp what it is that they’re actually asking when they tell vegans not to ‘push their beliefs on others.’ This can only be understood as asking us to stop advocating for animal rights and stop speaking up for the victims of animal agriculture.
You can dislike pushy vegans or want to be one of the ‘chill ones’ if you like. But the fact of the matter there is no way for us to just stop talking about animal agriculture or promoting veganism while simultaneously defending animals. What they’re actually asking us to do is to be silent so that they don’t have to feel bad.
The way animal abuse is hardly ever taken seriously if it’s towards any animal other than a dog lol

Esta "fábrica de clonación", en China, persigue tres objetivos: clonar animales para investigación médica, para producir animales "sabrosos" al gusto humano, y para reproducir animales "lindos" como pandas, osos polares, pingüinos, etc. (supongo que pretenden clonar a los más lindos entre los lindos).
