"Tasting you feeds My desire like loving you feeds My soul. Addiction, in all it's glory. The high, in all it's elevation. I'm fucking starving for you. My hunger for you is insatiable. Feed Me until I drown in your existence."
- Master Knox
I never do these but given all that's culminated this season, especially with "Insatiable," I felt the need to write a mini TW rant:
That, however, leads me to my second bit, and that is the likelihood of Isaac dying in the finale; this is all with the caveat that my reasoning, of course, means nothing with what the show will actually do. They've been trying to kill him all half season and at the pinnacle moment that they could have, they didn't. He could have died in the hospital, but he didn't. That speaks a little hope to me. Because now, especially given one of the supposed-spoilers I've already read, Isaac's death would seem extremely odd, out of place, and in my opinion, beneath the show. Killing two of Scott's friends in back to back episodes? Killing both members of one couple? Killing the guy Allison died to protect? That would seem incredible strange, on top of the already obvious fact that Isaac is Scott's only wolf-pack member. (and to this other supposed-spoiler, why would Araya's cartel-like hunter clan have a need to kidnap Scott, especially when Araya has already made it clear that she's in Beacon Hills to "hunt?").
Third, I should mention that of the three people who weren't already confirmed being in Season 4--Allison, Derek, and Isaac--my reasoning went as follows (this was pre-Ep23): Allison was my preference to be the death; while I still like her she's been my least favorite of the protagonists. Derek was who I thought would make the most sense to leave; his storyline, to me, has seemed to run dry the most, but I'm glad he's still around for now. Plus, I was torn, too, about Allison leaving Lydia as the only other major female role. And of course Isaac, on top of what I've already said post-Ep23, I did think he was a little too predictable and once again, that would be beneath the show.
So we'll see: one episode left. I hope anyone else who dies isn't as major as Allison, and that really includes Isaac, Derek, Argent, Mr. and Mrs. McCall, the Sheriff, and Deaton (again, Scott, Lydia, and Stiles are pretty much confirmed for S4 so I'm not concerned).
And one final caveat, there's always the possibility of an actor wanting to leave the show, and I really hope Daniel Sharman isn't/hasn't considered that. Stick around gorgeous, we love you.
Oh, and by the way, final final caveat, Isaac hasn't lost everyone--he still has Melissa and Scott and remember, they're "his family."
