Guys, little Big planet just died today- and Im feeling pretty sad now. LBP1 and LBP2 were my frickin childhood. Those games made me who I am today, taugh me about imagination, that It can be literally anything. I know i can still play the story, but the online levels from them im gonna miss them a frickin lot …. They motivated me to draw even more, create stories. I loved those cringy horror levels, the good ones, I loved the parkour ones, where a shark/marine monster chases you through a long ass bridge xD

Even though LBP3 is still playable online, it Will be hard to find all those online levels from the other games… Ill really miss them a hecking lot. I wanna thank them for making my childhood one of the best of all. Through hard times, that game made me feel better, to forget about the problems I had and just sink into my Imagination, create stories, characters, dreaming one day my stories would be as appreciated as these games… Thank you, Little Big Planet, for being my emotional support game all this time, and goodbye. Ill never forget a game as great as you were💜✨

if you like the popit academy please listen up!!!

I’m making a popit academy roleplay server on discord soon! I’m writing lore, events and stuff like that!!! One canon character per person is allowed (from any game) and you’re allowed as many OCs as you want!!! (I’ll keep a masterlist of what characters are taken ^_^ )

I’m going to try to be as lore accurate as possible, but since there is such little info on it, I’ll have to fill in a lot of the blanks.

Feel free to make suggestions!!! I’ll have this made in the next few days.

LBP headcanons because I’m feeling silly rn

- Captain Puds real name is Tom (Short for Thompson)

- Newtons middle name is ‘Plum’ referring to the ‘Plum Pudding’ model of the atom!!

- Avalons favourite science was Biology, Herbert’s Fav was Chemistry, Clive liked Physics and robotics the most!!

- Clive genuinely cares alot about the sackbots and has given them all names.

- Avalon has his own brand of conditioner.

- Popit academy is a private school, but Herb, Clive and Avalon all got in on a scholarship.

- Nana, Captain and Marlon all went to school around the same time.

- Herbert and Avalon are one or two years older than Clive but Avalon took a gap year before going to the popit academy to start up Avalonia.

- Avalon had a scene phase and pretends to have hated it.

- Larry didn’t invent the wheel, he just helped revolutionise it further — a lot like how Avalon didn’t invent science, he just learned how to mix biology and robotics as well as making other massive steps for science.

- Herb, Clive and Avalon were all in a band together. It didn’t last long but it was fun. Clive played guitar, Herb was either on bass or drums and Avalon sung. They tried to get Newton to fill in for whatever instrument Herbert wasn’t playing, but they couldn’t convince him.

- Larry had a band called ‘Principa Metalmatica’ (Metallica parody on one of the stickers). He was basically James Hetfield but newspaper in his younger days, and quit to persue science and teaching.

- Avalon was head boy, 100% attendance.

- Newton would always sleep in and he wouldn’t always wake up for class in time.

- There was a uniform for popit academy!! it was a white collared shirt, a tie with the school colours, either a jumper or a cardigan and the school blazer with black trousers. You would get badges depending on clubs and such, Avalon had wayyy too many badges on his blazer.

- I’ll draw some locker designs and how I think the gang would decorate their lockers.

Clive Music Taste headcanons because I can

he said he didn’t like metal music but I’m projecting so I say he actually does and he’s a little embarassed. He likes metalmatica (the band seen in Larry’s place) which is the only canonic band of which I am aware of.

I’d say he’d also enjoy blur (also oasis but idk I feel like he’d prefer blur), weezer, The Kaiser Chiefs (specifically ‘i predict a riot’ and ‘oh my god’.) I think he’d also like REM and U2 because idk. Also other Britrock bands I forgot about. Clive would be a huge fan of depeche mode (I put that on my Clive playlist but forgot to put it in the og post, thanks wander for helping me out there) and kraftwerk.

Nervous this doesn’t feel enough like Clive but this is how I interpret his character so yeah.

I kinda wanna run some lbp mini art prompt events of some kind

Like those daily fandom drawing prompts that go for like a week. Would anyone be interested? :D

the guy on the far left is Lint Crosstitch! He’s an LBP2 OC of mine, the youngest sibling of the Centrifuges. His design is inspired by a goat!! He read ‘the tales of captain pud’ when he was younger (a fictional LBP book I’m working on that’s just anecdotes of captains adventures). He was struggling just being seen as a centrifuge, Avalons large software based company putting pressure on him (hc that Clive makes a lot of the tech hardware and Avalon does most of the digital work); as well as oculus’ partying persona rubbing off on his identity, so he decided to change his last name. He still has a good relationship with his siblings and loves them, just didn’t want to gain his fame just by having the centrifuge name!! He resides in a carpet jungle area and his favourite places he’s explored are manglewood (and the lower down jacobs well).

HI TUMBLR LBP FACT TIME

Larry was going to be called “Dave Inchi” that’s why he looks at a D in “Let’s get you match fit” and recognises his name from that.

I genuinely dont think I’ve ever talked about my main au on here!!

I have around 50 aus but this is my favourite by far!!!

I present to youuuuu…. Submit To Avalonia! (STA for short)

It’s a much darker take on the story with heavy influences from the beta, it’s set in a universe where Victoria dies prior to Sackboy getting there, and Avalon is starting a cult based on himself and just the idea feeds his ego and his god complex. This version of Avalon is very different and is not meant to throw shade onto the original!! He’s just a complete sociopath in this au so be warned. Larry, grief stricken by Victorias death, ends up saving the sackboy from the negativatron, but his arm happens to get pulled off. Sackboy is the only immortal entity so to speak, however he can only be permanently damaged by the negativatron, so that causes Larry to assume he is affected like all the other curators (they can be harmed and permanently take damage), He is given a grappling hook as a prosthetic. Avalon slowly manipulates clive into becoming his second in command, and Eve feels the blame for not noticing the signs. The negativatron is defined by a reoccurring nightmare plaguing the Imagisphere, and not a one time enemy, so any major threat or being in the past was just another form on the negativatron, it can be caused by anything and anyone, it’s just a repeating prophecy of sorts, and in this case, Avalons cult causes it in an attempt to “cleanse” craftworld, and become its new leader.

This is still very rough and needs a lot of polishing, and there is a lot more to come later!! Thank you for reading, it means alot to have people interested in my projects. ^_^

on todays episode of autism, I am going to be analysing all of Clives lines from lbp2. What am I doing? I don’t even know anymore.

little big planet taught me how to mask. I had no clue how to use emotions properly and I used to get super frustrated when people thought I was feeling one way by how I looked but I was actually feeling another. Then I played through LBP and it helped me learn when i should use what expressions. Thanks little big planet.

I don’t have any good fact ideas today, so here’s what remains from Mona in the game!! She was going to be an AI accomplice to Avalon but she was eventually scrapped.

I cannot take the Pre-Alpha cutscenes seriously when Clives face looks like this

is it just me or does it feel like the LBP community is slowly starting to make a bit of a comeback, idk

What are your thoughts on Herbert Higginbotham?

I absolutely love Higginbotham!! He’s gotta be one of my favourite LBP characters fullstop. He’s criminally underrated and I love his design so much and I honestly wish we got to see way more of him in game. I probably need to draw him more because I really don’t enough.

Quick fire round!! facts too short to write a big paragraph on.

- Higginbothams beta name was Hillary

- Negativatron was originally pink

- Avalon was originally an orange amplifier with blonde hair and the words ‘the man’ faintly across his speaker

- Eves asylum used to have whales in it, likely because a lot of Gustav Klimt’s art depicted a lot of sea life

- Copernicus was made quite late in development, there was a lot of different concepts before they decided on Copernicus one of which can be seen in the level profile pic.

- Eves eyes change colour depending on mood (not about the beta but just not very well known because she doesn’t show a lot of different emotions in game)

- A lot of concept art was drawn in crayon!

- There was going to be a lot more types of robotic enemies you could interact with. E.g a Metal Robot you could wind up.

Ask me if you have any LBP2 questions, I’ll probably be able to answer them. ^^

Hold on I have another fact 💀

The beta version of the factory of a better tomorrow was called the popov factory. This was likely a placeholder name however the popov was an early version of the meanie and it would have been a pink strange creature that possessed and took over sackpeoples minds, or in other concepts simply masqueraded as sack people. The closest thing we have to this in game that shows this is the creature stingers and horns, although recently people have found a ‘popov dog’ which was seen in some of the concept art so it is likely it was scrapped during the early to mid development stages.

Oh! And one more fact for today.

The scientist guy seen just before the wheel actually appeared in really early LBP2 concept art with an apple labelled Eve. This idea likely stemmed into having Eve as we know today :)

Sorry I’ve missed a few days, I’m really inconsistent and I’ve been a bit ill lately but here’s todays LBP fact:

The negativatron was originally going to be called ‘The sucker’ and the story would have had a plot twist where when you got to Avalons place he turns on you, along with the help of his assistant ‘Mona’ who I am pretty sure was actually a cyborg version of the Mona Lisa!! This is just speculation but I’m quite sure that the story would have had you teaming up with the alliance to fight Avalons army and eventually destroy the sucker.
