@stormchi thanks so much for asking! not too much at all, distracts me so I appreciate it a lot <3
What got you into drawing? My mom! She used to draw for me when I was a little kid. And I always wanted to draw as good as see can. (shes no artist and doesn't do any art today)
Are there any pieces that are old but you're still proud of them? yes a big traditional artwork I did in uh... 2017? sorry just the kinda compressed photo I still have saved from IG, don't have a better pic of it rn. But I think it should be somewhere on my tumblr too.
What advice would you give to artists still trying to improve? to step out of you comfort zone. This is something that was holding me back for quite a long time. e.g. species and anatomy you usually don't draw and have no experience with. Using reference and the like. Basic stuff any artists would probably tell you xD
How did you think of ideas for your characters' world? honestly it's just daydreaming stuff that develops on it's own. Can't give any other answer than that. It's kinda unexplainable to me :'D
Which oc has your favorite color palette? I don't know honestly.. I like them all quite a lot. I don't really have a favorite color palette overall other than my favorite color being aqua which quite a few of my ocs have. But if I have to pick.. Niche. dark and galaxy is pretty c:
I regret nothing :D
What gives you life?
Oxygen :D
i made a Ver of Oobja called BOOja (its Oobja bt he died and is now a ghost)
-Wow, I didn't know that people would come up with something like that! I'll be honest, this is an amazing idea! I really want to see him :)
I was chatting with a girl and we were speaking about Kafka. She claimed to really love his work and even that she visited his residence in Prague, yet when I asked what she read she said she hadn't read his stories yet... Is that common?
Stay yourself, stay curious
Hi there, I bought a doc martens addina flower buckle a few weeks ago and it hurts to walk in them - my toes feel cramped. It's it normal? What should I do? I already went to a cobbler...
I'm sooooo bored, millionaires from around here, send comments and talk, what's the best thing about being one, what is something that “normal people” will never understand?, are we missing something?
(I don't think there are any around here).
(by normal people I mean people who are not millionaires :v)
Whatever happened to the soft Kylo/Hux/Phasma fic you were talking about? Did you ever post? I'm dying to read it.
i haven’t posted it, no. i’m glad you’re excited about it, though! i’ve been short on ideas for a while, but i still intend to finish it!
@atariakana Ohh nice, star wars is definitely my favorite fandom by far too, but recently I've been getting interested in marvel. I haven't really read a lot of fic or anything yet, but last year I watched all the movies and I've been keeping up with those since. I've never liked comics but recently I've been considering getting some star wars ones and i figure if i like those I'll try reading some spiderman :o (he's my favorite)
i got into marvel because of the movies too! i think the spiderman movie with tobey maguire was the first marvel film i saw. spiderman is great, i’ve loved all the adaptions (i’m very excited to see the new one, spider-man: into the spider-verse). i think my fave is the one with andrew garfield; he just looks and acts the most like how i see peter in my head. i’m looking forward to the new one with tom holland too, though.
i’ve read a couple of different spiderman comics and some have been great, others have been a little too wild for me (i prefer when pete is just running around new york, being a human disaster, so the comics where he’s the ceo of parker industries (or something similar) feel very ooc to me, but you do you!).
getting into comics was something i’d been interested in for years, but it was a struggle™. i’ve tried a lot of different ones, but everything i read was so boring to me. when you’re used to reading novels and fics, comics can come across as kind of flat, in my experience. to me they didn’t have the same level of emotion.
the trick to getting into comics is finding one that really speaks to you. i think star wars comics is a great place to start! it’s easier if you already know the universe and the characters well.
when i was a kid, i was heavily into the comic series “elfquest”. the art was amazing, the story was complicated and interesting and i loved it - still do! if you’re into tolkien, elfquest is probably up your alley.
between elfquest and now, i hadn’t been able to find a comic i enjoyed, until i found the hawkeye comic series that ran from 2012-2015. that one just spoke to me on such a deep level, and getting into other comics in the marvel universe was easier, once i’d dipped my toes with hawkeye.
@atariakana ohh, what are your other fandoms/interests besides star wars? :D
i hope it’s evident from my kylux stuff how much i love star wars. star wars is my main thing - but marvel is a close second.
i cannot even begin to express how much i love the marvel thing. i love the films, i love the comics, but most of all, i love the fics (and the fanart).
i have so, so many marvel ships. steve rogers/bucky barnes, peter parker/wade wilson, bucky barnes/clint barton, clint barton/natasha romanoff, bucky barnes/clint barton/natasha romanoff, steve rogers/tony stark, clint barton/matt murdock, and steve rogers/matt murdock, just to name a few.
i’ve been writing marvel stuff recently, but i’ve only published 1 so far.
other stuff i’m into is the hobbit. that’s a classic for me. i used to be very into teen wolf; i still read that from time to time. i’ve somewhat recently gotten back into the raven cycle book series. i was really into that a few years ago, but i came across some fanart recently, so i’ve gotten back into it.
of everything mentioned here, the raven cycle is the only fandom i have not written anything for.
an interest of mine that has nothing to do with fandom is history. i am studying history at the moment (european history) and i love it so, so much. history is a big reason why i love to write stories involving steve rogers and bucky barnes. it gives me a great excuse to research so many different things. i spent a good couple of hours researching the history of the hearing aid for a drabble not too long ago. it was great.
