Coming back to this because these are all the other musicals that should be recast with muppets:
1. Rent
Everyone is a muppet except the evil landlord, self explanatory, done. (I don’t know enough about rent to cast this one tbh but I think Scooter would be an excellent mark)
2. The Phantom of the Opera
The count is the phantom (join me in a fantasy world where the muppets and Sesame Street gang cross over- or it could also just be Gonzo I guess I like the idea of him as a homewrecker) miss piggy is Christine, kermit is raoul and the only humans are Meg and her mother. Additional cast members could be scooter as the stage manager, per the usual, Fozzie Bear as that one Italian opera singer but instead of singing he just wants to tell his jokes, Gonzo as Carlotta in a wig and statler and Waldorf as themselves heckling the opera
3. Jesus Christ Superstar
Hear me out ok, this one may be controversial, but miss piggy is Jesus, the slightly jaded, undeniable star of the show, and kermit is Judas, undeniably in love with her, but tired of her hogging the spotlight and feels she’s turned her back on what the muppets are really about. Beaker is Peter because he also looks like he would nope out when shit goes down and deny miss piggy, and Mary Magdalene should be played by renowned Broadway actress Philips Sousa because I just think that would be really cool if she hasn’t already played that role
4. Sweeney Todd
In which the animal plays unhinged sweeney todd, judge Turpin is Sam the eagle, miss piggy is Johanna, kermit is Anthony, and miss Lovett is played by Janice, who while I think lacks the manic energy needed for the role, would be a good chilled out foil to animal and bring a new flavour to the character of the crazy character who’s so deluded they make their actions seem almost sane
5. Little Shop of Horrors
I’m sorry I know I keep casting them as the two leads but kermit and miss piggy were born to play Audrey and Seymour, it is a pair that cannot be topped. The only change this makes to the original is that we all know miss piggy takes no shit so I think the stuff with the dentist (still played by Steve Martin because you can’t improve upon perfection) is a misinterpretation and she actually beats the ever living shit out of him for disrespecting her. Rizzo the rat should play the slimey businessman who buys Audrey Two, Statler and Waldorf are collectively mr mushnik, the chorus should also be human but I think the piece de resistance would be the Swedish chef as Audrey two and all the world is his chicken, and all the world should be deeply, deeply, afraid.

Rent + Moving + Medical Bills
Hey all, I really hate to do this and I wasn't going to but I really need the help. I am struggling at this point just to pay for groceries. I am supposed to be moving soon to go back home and I'll need to mail my things which is gonna cost I don't know how much. I also have a few medical bills from last year that have been sold to a debt collection agency, so I need to take care of that as well which equates $1000 and then some. Hello everyone, My name is Tiffany I'm trans, autistic, disabled and cant work with chronic fatigue syndrome, executive dysfunction and I have avoidant personality disorder/high anxiety and don't have a social support network that is supportive of me being transgender I've never been employed and am basically unemployable I'm in the process of getting benefits like ssi, snap, medicare, and medicaid but in order to receive rental assistance I need to be able to pay first months rent and a move in fee but I'm practically unable to because of how little I'm getting right now and how fast the money goes due to things like food, my phone bill, some goes to my uncle's rent and bills, and I would just want some support temporarily until all these government assistance processes are completed witch would take long because first I need to find one available and the cheapest apartments I can apply for in my area are $1800 to $2300 plus security deposit then it would need to be inspected for approval and then hopefully I can finally live on my own planning to hopefully live on all that but its taking longer then expected and i would love to move out sooner then later so I can begin to live the way I want to live away from bigoted and abusive members of my family

Hamilton: there is literally only one way to do it: singing along to all the parts at once and incorporating all the furniture in the room for maximum effect.
The Last Five Years: have a hundred tabs open with the lyrics. It would be one of the easiest musicals to sing along to alone if there weren’t so many goddamn words.
Les Misérables: reconcile yourself to the fact that it’s physically impossible to sing along to all the parts. You gotta just pick a character to sing with. Which is actually fine, because most Les Mis fans have this one character that’s “their” character. And there’s probably only one character who’s in your range, anyway. I mean, you can try to sing along to all the parts, but prepare to get absolutely slaughtered in “One Day More.”
Newsies: whatever you do, just don’t try to dance along. Please.

Make theater more accessible
Hello to all Broadway fans! I can guarantee that you have absolutely no clue who I am because I have only posted two things on here, and they were both about the Riverdale Heathers episode. However, what you should know is that I am a MAJOR fan of the theatre, modern Broadway in particular, and there are many shows I would absolutely love to see, but there is just one problem. Tickets are really expensive, and also New York is hours away. I want to write a letter or sort of essay to the American Theatre Wing or someone who could do something about the accessibility of Broadway to try and sell them on trying to make Broadway shows more accessible, whether it’s making tickets cheaper or doing what they did with Newsies with all of the most popular shows or both or something else. Currently, the only way the vast majority of theater fans get to experience these Broadway shows is through the cast recordings and the occasional bootleg. Even if the tour comes to town, tickets are still expensive, and if your parents are anything like mine, they’re not a huge fan of a lot of this stuff, they don’t understand it that much, and overall, they don’t see much of a reason to spend that kind of money on a “stupid show.” So we watch the bootlegs. We live and breathe the cast recordings. And then when any clips of the show are released, we FREAK OUT. Many people do not have the money, or the support from parents, or they can’t make the trip to New York, but for whatever reason there is, many theater fans have never actually seen a Broadway show. Another thing in the theater is that it is definitely not accessible to the deaf. I know that there was a production of Spring Awakening that was, but for the most part, theater is not accessible to those who are deaf, and sometimes people with other disabilities. Anyways, the point is that I want to write a letter or essay to try and sell the idea of making theater more accessible to everyone, and I want anyone who wants to help to help. I will leave my email and a link to the document, and I am sure that if everyone collaborates, we could probably write something pretty good and send it to the American Theatre Wing. There has been talk for a while about how Broadway needs to be more accessible, and I’ve even seen a post many times about the irony that many shows are about the poor and destitute and yet those are the exact people who can never see these shows because they are so expensive. If you can, try to help write, and also SOURCES. PLEASE. The reason I am reaching out to so many people is because it’s hard to find sources on this sort of thing. Hard as in I genuinely do not know what to search, and then what I did search, I found literally nothing.

I know I've made a post like this before, but I need help really bad. My house is becoming worse as each day passes and I need to get out asap. My parents hate that I'm LGBT+ and non morman /Christian. I'm often the face of abuse, and they don't belive that I have depression/anxiety/social anxiety. I've found an apartment, and I can handle the rent. But the move in cost is what a going to kill me. To move into this place its.1064.00$(us). The move in date is July 1st, so only 3 weeks away.
I am actively working, but even tho I'm working 40 hours a week, the pay isent enough. I won't have enough by the move in date. So I'm willing to do anything to get enough money.
