I was wondering if you could do Arthur and Merlin’s reaction to a kid from the future appearing? Like this kid who looks a lot like them runs up to their master/s/o and call them mama? I’d like to think it would be interesting!

man, I was looking for this request and thot i deleted it and panicked real good lmao…thank god that wasn’t the case…

Arthur

He was shocked, his mouth agape and eyes wide. This kid….looked exactly like him. With their golden locks and big blue eyes, it was like looking at a younger version of himself, a doppelganger if you will. It was surprising to see, to say the least. His ‘son’ looked at him with bright eyes, an equally dazzling grin on his face, one that he himself couldn’t help but return.

Having a mini him like this….It was too cute! An identical grin appeared on his face as he swooped in, grabbing the boy under the arms and cuddling him to his chest. The kid giggled, happy to receive his father’s attention. Whatever future he came from, Arthur was certain that this child was his.

The boy cheered, grabbing onto the older man’s fingers, holding them with a tight grip. The king winced, tugging the intruding fingers off gently, careful not to hurt the kid. His son pouted, looking up at him with wide, puffy eyes, “Papa~!”

His heart almost stopped then and there, the word papa being said directly at him made him on the spot stricken. He didn’t understand why it made his heart shook with joy, but he did know that he wanted to hear it again. He opened his mouth again and with a joyous voice said, “Ah, you’re so cute~ What am I~?”

“Papa~!” The child squealed out, his giggles getting louder as he was being lifted higher and higher. It was then you walked in, smiling at the sight of the two, although you were confused, “Arthur? Who is this-”

“Mama~!” You were interrupted by your future child pointing at you excitedly. Both you and your servant were in shock, especially Arthur. You….were the mother? It made him heaten up at the thought of you being with him, making this sweet angel….No, that was indecent, why would he think that?! Still, knowing that you, his delightful master, would one day have his child made him extremely happy.

‘I wonder…..if we have more….’

Merlin

The little girl in fact of him was definitely real, especially when he found out about her being his own flesh and blood. He would be lying if he said he was surprised, it was only natural that he would have a child, especially with his nature. Still, the fact that the girl was shy and withdrawn, even with her own father, did make him sad.

“Angel~! Why won’t you call me papa~?” He whined, his face dropping into a pout, his head drooped low. She only gave him a glare, before turning away from him, hugging Fou closer to her chest. Even Fou was more loved by her than he was. Oh how tragic~

Still, he wouldn’t deny how much she looked like you. When she did smile, it lit up the whole room, just like how you did, although yours were more frequent. That just made his little angel’s all the more precious when she did smile~ Ah, he was staring too much, she was looking at him like he was a creep. That’s no good~

“….Papa, stop staring. You’re being scary….” Like an arrow through his heart, her words struck him with glee and heartache. On one hand, being called Papa made him so so happy and he wanted to just cuddle her to his chest there and then. On the other, having his daughter fear him made him feel extreme sadness and made him deflate. It was then when you walked in, seeing your servant looking a mixture of distraught and delighted. The girl on the other hand, perked up and ran other to you, hugging your legs, “Mama!”

You were surprised, very much so. It wasn’t a terrible surprise however and you reached down to pick her up, cradling her close. Merlin wasn’t surprised, his suspicions confirmed. Finding out his little girl was a momma’s girl made him….less than pleased if he was honest.

‘I hope our next one is a papa’s girl…..’
