This supports my theory.

When Shinichiro gets dark impulses he gets the little swirly things in his eyes as but when Mikey gets his dark impulses his eyes turned white like how he was when he was sick and not able to move so I'm thinking every time his dark impulse shows that's OG Mikey taking control and having freedom of himself but because in the OG timeline he couldn't do anything he took control of Mikey's body when his dark impulses showed but I'm really starting to think the OG Mikey lives inside of Mikey and he's always been there but I think he's the actual dark impulses and if he is then the reason he's so violent it's because he went insane not being able to move or talk for all that time and he had a slow antagonizing death so it would kinda make sense for him to be that violent. Also if Mikey or Shinichiro are in dark impulse mode for too long then their eyes stay black but you can tell by their expressions that they are in dark impulse mode.

MIKEY: cares for you a lot, brings you his favorite food and legit gets sad if you say you don't wanna eat anything (pls eat at least a bit, don't make him sad). he absolutely will lay himself next to you even when you tell him not to because that way he'll be sick too (he'll just say he doesn't care and wants to cuddle with you)

RAN: worries a lot, but is calm and takes care of you well, as he used to take care of his brother when he got sick too. Ran is really good at it. but he says it's only because he loves you so much

RINDOU: extremely worries. like EXTREMELY. always asks if you need anything and always makes sure you have everything you might need. makes you drink lots of warm tea, covers you with lots of blankets and makes you rest a lot

SANZU: he's a drama queen. he'll panic a lot and will legit ask you if you're dying (pls, tell him you're not or he's gonna go crazy). but he also does everything you ask from him and is extremely soft during that time. though teases you just a bit ("my doll needs something? doll needs to ask me with a kiss first". smack him on his head slightly, but give him a kiss and he's all yours)

MOCHI: he looks super serious, but it's because he's worried. is really careful and soft with you when you're sick, and is really really caring. just ask him whatever you need and he'll get that. tea? warm blanket? his hugs? absolutely

KOKO: you need a pack of tissues? here, have 10 of the best quality he could find. you want some tea of a flavor you don't have at home? he'll get it. when you're sick, he'll get you everything without you even asking

KAKUCHO: he's the best. the softest, the one who takes care of you so well. brings you lots of blankets and pillows, makes you your favorite tea and snacks and you two just watch something quietly on TV, while cuddling (he gives you head kisses in the process)

TAKEOMI: is good at it. he knows everything the man might need to know about taking care of someone sick. makes you drink warm tea, have a bottle of water near with your bed (because you have to drink a lot) and gives you your favorite piece of clothes of his. a shirt? a hoodie? whatever it is, it's yours for now

i wish the female characters in tokrev got to display their fighting abilities more, it would rlly add some more depth to their characterization and i dont mean like they dont have backstories or anything

like some of these girls are real badasses

senju is said to be as powerful as mikey and yet we never see her fight properly??? what was the point??? several characters have commented on her strength, namely wakasa and benkei so then why is she being treated like a fragile little thing. maybe im missing smt but i genuinely dont get why wakasa would tell takemichi to take care of brahman's princess when he himself knows how much strength she possesses. also takemichi cant fight for shit hows he gonne take care of her?

emma is said to have been taught how to fight by her siblings. yet we never see her skills. its a different case if she deliberately chose not to involve herself with gang affairs but what about that battle in the parking lot?? she had the skills to protect herself. even if she does not alter the aftermath of the fight, we wouldve seen her being able to fling two attackers with her umbrella.

yuzuha is the most competent female character i feel like cuz we do actually get to see her fight but idk if its just my memory but i dont actually remember how the fight went. did she beat whoever she was fighting? also i would like to see her more. wish hakkai had invited her to the toman 2.0 so in that way we'd get to see more of her.

hina honestly has such wasted potential. i mean this girl went up to mikey - a person who can knock anyone with just one kick AND whos the leader of a gang - and slapped him in the early episodes! GIRLBOSS BEHAVIOR!!! and then she;s just ... there ... even her promise to protect Takemichi seems weak. i get that shes like the emotional support for takemichi but i wish we got to see her full on blasting guys. imagine ppl just underestimating her cuz shes short and fragile-looking and a GIRL. then she goes and knocks up everyone who charges at her, dislocating their jaw, breaking teeth, three punch to the chest, four to the sides and one special to the groin and she has five guys kneeling at her feet. i feel like she would also like to do some emotional damage while grabbing a guys arm and twisting it like 'damn, you must not be very strong if a mere 5 ft girl can just snap u like a twig'

i would also like to see a female gang like pls wakui-sensei make it happen plz

tokrev has little female characters as it is but to have the ones we do get to be just on the sidelines and only appearing when our mc needs a boost is wasted potential. we couldve had some rlly entertaining stuff like the toman members teaching the girls how to fight or the girls getting together for a trip when they get harassed and boom! the harassers are crying for their moms with blood running down their nose.

im hoping the battle between kantou and toman 2.0 will have senju bring out the monster in her. i wanna see the senju ppl compare to mikey. the one wakasa and benkei praised. the one who was the leader of a gang she formed herself, a gang which was infamous in tokyo and which was one of the three deities.

Emma had to suppress the smile that wanted to force its way out. “Then boom!” And he lurched his stick side to side, carving long slits on the heart; it was a mess now. “An explosion.” Shinichiro gave her a big grin.

Emma didn’t pay her brother’s unique humor any mind: and falling in love?

“Falling in love …” Shinichiro sat back, finger on his chin as he got to thinking. “feels like falling. It’s fast, confusing, tumultuous, like falling in a never-ending rabbit hole. You know, Alice in Wonderland style. And the weird thing is, you won’t want it to stop when you get a taste of the thrill of it. It’s addictive.”

Talking about Chapter 241.

You know what makes Junji Ito stories scary? A lack of explanation. That weird, creepy thing is happening just because, and no one knows why.

The unexplained is scary.

I think it's the same with Mikey. He doesn't have to be traumatised or mentally ill (I will get back to this point) in order to do something terrible, he could just do it because part of him isn't a good person and the lack of a cause it what makes him more dangerous and ultimately a more interesting character, because how can Takemichi save someone when there isn't a reason for their demise? When they themselves are the issue?

I won't go into details, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as what Mikey did but I can relate to his extreme reactions.

People seem really upset that a character like Mikey is potentially such a bad person, but here's the thing, he's fictional, it's totally okay to still like him, and serial killers often have family, friends, they're bright, intelligent and interesting people which is why everyone is shocked when their crimes are exposed, because they can't see how someone like that, who they love, can be so terrible.

Obviously to react the way he did, to harm people and even kill them requires something not adding up quite right in the brain, but I don't think it's right to point straight to mental illness as the main reason.

Why? It's Japan.

Mental health issues are still hugely stigmatised and often misrepresented, I would be shocked if that was the reason, that it's put at the forefront of an absolutely massive series, and do you really want serious mental health conditions introduced to millions of people that way? That someone with x diagnosis is potentially dangerous? Plus like I said at the start, a lack of reason is scary and frustrating.

I do just think Mikey has a bad side. That isn't the author taking a shortcut on the character if this does turn out to be the reason, that's him writing someone who is irredeemable in order to cause issues for those who love them.

I think Mikey has to die or Takemichi has to give up on him at this point, I know he wants to be saved but he has to do it himself. Honestly really looking forward to seeing how this all ends, and if anything happens to Chifuyu I swear i'm rioting.

The short adventures of Bonten's No4

Bonten x f reader

Warnings- Slight manga spoilers, language also light descriptions of injuries and blood.

Summary: Y/N is Bonten's first female member, she's their skilled and deadly No4. So why can't she just have some peace and quiet in her own bathroom!?

Ch1- Reader can't have her private bathroom in Bonten

There were perks to being the only female member of Bonten, people underestimated you which made business easier and being the cute one of the group meant you could convince Mikey to give you whatever jobs you wanted. But the best perk had to be having your own bathroom, after all no one was else going to use the women's room right? Or so you thought, because it turns out no one in Bonten understands or respects boundaries.

It starts with Sanzu because of course it does, the second you stepped into the bathroom he practically hissed at you and told you to stop making so much noise. Now being that you are the only woman in Bonten you wasn't expecting anyone else to be in the women's room, so the sudden voice immediately put you on edge and instincts kicked in. Suddenly Sanzu had a knife pressed against his throat while you had a gun against your head, as he retaliated. You both lower your weapons when you realise each other's identities. Sanzu then gives you a grin that's a little too wide to be entirely sane and explains he was just using the bathroom as a hiding place from the others, to give him a chance to work through his hangover from the night before. You sigh, because of course he would choose your private bathroom for his hiding place. And unfortunately for you he takes a liking to hiding there, now you frequently run into him trying to work through his headaches in your private space.

You've also come to learn that Mikey is no better, your boss has no boundaries and will just waltz into the women's bathroom whenever he pleases. Most of the time it's because he's looking for you or just following you into the bathroom to continue his conversation. You've tried to explain many times to him before that this isn't appropriate and that he can just wait outside. But unfortunately for you everytime he just tilts his head to the left and gives you a cute blank expression. So you always just sigh and leave him be, after all he's not doing too much harm right?

Though you vaguely wonder if Mikey's disregard for the women's room has influenced Koko. It's hard to remember but you're sure Koko never used to follow you into the bathroom, he probably noticed Mikey doing it at some point and decided he could join in too. You'll just be minding your own business walking to the bathroom when suddenly you're getting a lecture about how you went over budget on your last job. Koko walks damn fast too so you can't even hope to outpace him. He'll just follow you straight into the bathroom to continue his little lecture. He gets so into it that sometimes you wonder if he even realises he's in the women's bathroom.

At least Kakucho has the decency to look embarrassed whenever you catch him in the women's room. He looked like a deer in headlights the first time you caught him. You both froze and just stared at each other for what felt like hours but probably only lasted seconds. You were about to question him when Mikey suddenly kicked down the door and whisked you away for an "important meeting" but what actually turned out to be lunch. You soon forgot about the Kakucho incident until it happened again a week later. You walk into the bathroom to find him washing his hands. This time though he gives you an almost sheepish look as he explains how overcrowded the men's room is. You just nod in understanding and inwardly curse because you don't have the heart to kick him out. So much for your private bathroom.

When Mikey banned smoking inside, you were secretly overjoyed, you had never been a fan of smoke. Besides now the smoke alarms would stop going off twice a day. However you didn't realise the smoking ban was going to bring annoying consequences for you. Specifically yet another visitor to your bathroom and this one brought smoke with him. When you first noticed the lingering scent of smoke in the bathroom you assumed Sanzu had accidently started a fire, so being the woman of action that you are. You grabbed a fire extinguisher, kicked the door open and and sprayed the foam all over a surprised Takeomi. He screamed, you screamed and from outside you faintly heard Sanzu screaming for dominance. It didn't take a genius to figure out what Takeomi was doing in your bathroom, the window was propped open while his cigarette had been dropped to the floor in suprise. Even after the fire extinguisher incident he keeps coming back to the bathroom, lingering around like the scent of his smoke.

Who had committed a murder in your bathroom!? That was your first thought when you saw the blood all over the door, your second thought was whoever commited the murder was going to die next. Reaching for your gun, you open the door slowly and peek inside. There are puddles of blood on the floor and an injured Mochi by the sink. Sighing since you can't just leave your colleague to bleed out in the bathroom you break into action. You help Mochi clean and wrap his wounds and even take the time to clean your bathroom. It's not an easy job but at least it's a one time thing......So you thought because it suddenly becomes a tradition of his. He'll finish whatever job he was sent to do and instead of going to the infirmary or even the men's room. He'll come straight to your bathroom to wash the blood away and treat any injuries. A part of you is touched that he must trust you enough to come to you when he's in such a vulnerable state. But its not enough to outweigh your annoyance at finding your bathroom all bloody. You vaguely wish you let him bled out that first time, it would've solved so many problems and helped you save so much money on cleaning products.

You needed someone to vent to about all the bathroom problems, unfortunately you chose Ran. You realise complaining about your bathroom predicament to Ran was a bad idea the next morning. Precisely the moment you walked into the bathroom to find Ran lounging about by the sinks with a lazy smirk on his face. Cursing to yourself you wonder why you told Ran of all people about this. Of course the cocky bastard practically lives to tease you so of course he would take advantage of this situation to annoy you more. It soon becomes a daily routine, you walking into the bathroom to find Ran already there, waiting for you. He refuses to break eye contact and always has a condescending look on his face. No matter how desperate you are you refuse to go with him there, which sometimes leaves you squirming all through the meeting. You needed to find a way to fix this fast.

A body guard, that's all you wanted. Just someone who could remove Ran from the bathroom so you could go in peace. So how did it end up like this? You figured Rindou would be perfect for this role, he was more serious then Ran and surely Ran would listen to his brother right? Wrong, all you've done is unleashed two demons into your bathroom. What's even worse is they have appeared to make it into a competition for who can annoy you the most. It went from smirks and winks to questions like what colour panties are you wearing today? To touching, it's not uncommon for one of them to pin you against the wall and suggest you both make use of the empty bathroom. Punching them doesn't even work, they just laugh it off asking if you like it rough. They even brought in spare chairs from the meeting room to make the bathroom more comfortable. You vaguely wonder why you can't just pee in peace anymore.

That's it, you've had enough and finally snapped. All you wanted to do was use the bathroom but upon walking in there you find Mikey asleep on the sinks, Koko impatiently tapping his foot waiting for you, Rindou and Ran sitting in their chairs immediately grinning when they see you. Not to mention Akashi fanning smoke out of the window, Sanzu massaging his head and a pool of what you're assuming was Mochi's blood. The second you take all this in you walk straight out of the bathroom. You figure if they can break the bathroom rules then you can too, so you march to the men's room. You throw the door open and find it empty, probably because everyone is in the women's room instead and you finally get your private bathroom.
