“Kiss me. Kiss me until I am sick of it.”

Your condescending laugh replays in his mind, almost like a mantra of your voice. Your voice is all he can think of. The way it sounded so condescending, yet loving. The way you mockingly spoke to him as if he were a small child.

“I’ll always love you,” the man spoke to his love. “I’ll always love you as long as I live.”

He didn’t understand then, and he most certainly didn’t understand now. Why would you say a thing only to lie? Why? What caused you to react the way you had? Was it something he had done?

“Oh dear.. tut tut. You don’t seem to get it, do you?”

He craves you - he craves your hugs, he wants your little notes you left him, he craves to only hear your voice, if only just once.

“If only there was someone out there who loved you.”

Your words stung. They really did. Except he can’t seem to hate you. It’s unfortunate. The more he tries to hate you, the more he ends up hating himself.

He hates himself for making you think that way. He hates himself for not being good enough for you. He hates everything about himself. He can’t hate you, even if he wished he did.

“Kiss me. Kiss me until I am sick of it.”

He really thought that you could manage to love him. He really did. He thought by saying these bold words he’d never otherwise speak, that it’d somehow lure you in, almost like a moth to a flame. However, his words seemed to have the opposite effect - they only drive you further away.

REMUS

I feel like Remus likes to read as well, but surely not as much as you. He definitely takes you on reading dates, where basically, the two of you get a book from the library, go to Hogsmeade and get yourselves something to drink and sit on a bench and read. Sometimes, you take walks in the forest and sit down by a tree. You lean your head on Remus's shoulder as he reads to you.

SIRIUS

He isn't a pretty big fan of reading, but he'll do anything for you. You get him to read some of your favourite books. He actually likes them so he starts reading more often.

Now the two of you sit in the library for hours on end and read together. He starts exploring the library, and now he's the one recommending you books.

JAMES

Just like Sirius, James doesn't really enjoy reading, he's more of a troublemaker than a nerd. When you introduce him to reading, he's all like "meh". Even after you try to convince him to read, he still won't do it. 🙄

When he noticed you love reading, he goes and buys you books. Whenever he sees you reading, he brings you tea, coffee or whatever you enjoy drinking while reading.

PETER

Peter fell for you because of this exact reason. Your passion for reading. He observed you in the library, every single day, sitting at the table with your nose in the book.

He loves it when you read to him. Peter's a sucker for the nights where it's just the two of you in the common room, and he listens to you reading one of your favourite author's book.
