I've been going big hunting.

Maybe a hot take, but can we chill out? People are going so far to push and claim and scream about how bad we are, how the fandom is "ending up like every other fandom" How everything is taken so far and exaggerated? There have been attempts on NSFW art yeah, and we handle it. Even when the creator has said we shouldn't have to, not even go after those people, to just have our own fun and enjoy our home.

I'm not saying just let those things happen, of course it shouldn't happen but how we let it taint us. How we yell that clown will stop doing this, that we'll drive them away and it's our own fault when by everything that's been given and written there has been no claim of that? That when the creator says that they'll see this through, how much they love us and it goes ignored? For what? To blame each other that we're so terrible they'll leave? What did we even do? All I see is everyone telling each other how bad this is when we've been just fine, full of beautiful, creative, lovely darlings that found this home for ourselves.

It makes me sad to see us see ourselves that way, to even remotely say we're just as awful as things that have lasted years when we've barely just begun. It's saddening to see people claim such drastic things that clown was in danger and had been doxxed or worse. Taking clowns message of stress and using it and twisting it to use as a weapon against each other, it's disheartening.

Clown wouldn't give up for a few bad eggs and yelling at each other won't help either.

I feel like this comes from a fear we all have, a fear of things getting so big that it does end up bad, a fear that there will be terrible people here, that this place will crumble just like all our other dearly beloved creations who we left because that home couldn't feel like home anymore. So at first sight of trouble we panic, we scream, we try so hard to push everything out that could hurt us we miss the point.

We suffer from that loss and so we fill it, this perfect home, a sanctuary, it gave that to us again and I understand that, I've felt that, but doing this to each other doesn't help. Let's make this house a home, let's just let each other know we're the absolute most, that we're all just little darlings meeting eachother and experiencing this world together. We're safe, and we don't need to jump that gun so fast anymore.

Random little observation on Welcome Home (I'm addicted I keep checking and re-checking the website WIDEFUJENADSJIFFU)

Uhm so I was looking over the Welcome Home website for the like... third time since the update came out and I saw something strange

I (at first) thought it was morse code, but I put it in a translator and it was just missing text (It says Vibrant World, btw). Does anyone know if this is anything worth looking further into? It feels weird that that (ew English why did you make me type that) is the only part missing- and not even 100% gone?? I know Clown put out a TW for unreality and derealization.. maybe thats why? Idk, this is just a random observation I wanted to share @:]

something is happening..

Super duper pumped about the new Welcome Home update so I thought I'd share some things I've found while digging around the website.

A side note: I've found that depending on which way I'm viewing my phone (landscape or portrait) I'm able to see things that may otherwise be hidden. Which explains why Home was scribbled out when I was looking before.

First off, Wally seems to be missing everywhere, actually. He's not with any of his friends, his name is excluded in that one png with Barnaby. Everything is pointing to something bad happening in the background.

Not to mention, the About pages for each character. Everyone is normal...except for Wally. He's not looking at the viewers like usual, instead looking away. And when you listen to the audio at the bottom of his page, you hear ringing. No other voices or sounds. Just the telephone ringing over and over and over again.

The website mentions that they had to take down Wally's audio for the telephone toy because of some weird glitches, hence why it's excluded among the others. But seems it's been moved to Wally's page.

Another thing to mention is the name of some of the images. Every other character on their About page is named [Character's name].png. But Wally's is different.

Ring Ring. Just like the audio.

Home is labelled weirdly too. All the other houses are just named 'placeholder for all placeholders' or along those lines. But Home stands out.

'See you together'. Not suspicious at all..?

Now, onto the stuff from the Discoveries pages. When looking at the 'Julie's Guide to being Joyful', the part where Wally shows Julie his painting of 'what joy looks like'. It's completely scribbled out in black paint which is more than a little unnerving. I was also able to see something in the paint. A smile? It's hard to make out but it looks kinda sinister. Not to mention in the audio for the book, there's small glitches and tone changes.

I made the contrast and brightness greater so it was easier to see the face in the painting.

Lastly, the radio broadcast. Another new thing uncovered in the update, hosted by Wally and (sort of) Barnaby. We hear about how much Julie's siblings want her to join their band and Julie's supposed opposition to it, and while it's interesting when it comes to Julie's 'lore', it's not what I'm focusing on this moment.

No, my attention was caught by Wally. He seems to be acting fairly normal. But some things feel off. At the very end, Wally talks to the listeners. Nothing unusual for him. But his last line 'And remember, I love you very much.' just feels strange. It could be me, but in my opinion it sounds kind of sad? As though almost saying goodbye or as if reassuring us?

The image for the radio episode is also odd. Wally's eyes are closed. There's a giant eye in the background. And he's putting a hand to his ear to 'listen'. Could be nothing but ya never know. Personally, it reminds me of those images of Wally listening to Home. Especially with the way the eye is directly above, watching closely. It's as if Wally is 'listening' to something that is telling him things.

And finally, the last piece of weird mystery stuff I wanted to share for today. The way the Question Answerer keeps mentioning a phone. The Question Answerer is the one supposedly helping uncover Welcome Home's mysteries. But when the WHRP talks about the interview with the Question Answerer, this anonymous source keeps referring to the phone and ringing. Which is odd considering that as of the moment, a lot of mystery surrounding Wally has to do with telephones and ringing.

Edit: I'm also just gonna throw in something I found while snooping around the last update. Mysterious white text. Seems like someone is trying to communicate with us? 👀

Anyways, that's all for now. I know I rambled a bit but gosh this stuff gets me excited.

Once again, thanks for everything Clown! Welcome Home is an amazing creation and im sure us fans can't wait for more as the story unravels! :)

Barnaby's turn!! I looked through 70s men's fashion, some hats and ponchos were what I saw! Though it makes him look like a cowboy haha! I'll mess around with his clothing more and come up with a color palette later on! Barnaby uses disorienting laughing gas with hard hitting gauntlets, he's a tank for the team!!

Confused

Apparently Welcome Home had an update of some kind, but I have no idea what it's doing. It's nothing very informative as far as I can tell but that might just be because I don't understand. Scattered across the site are requests but they are things that seem to be about changing components of the site and I don't know how to do that. Has anybody else figured it out?

What is Wally?

I know I've already talked about how I don't think Wally is a puppet, but with the new update, there is now more evidence for this claim. Though it also leaves more questions about what he is.

I do think, that at one point, Wally was just a puppet, but I think he gained more than just sentience as the story progresses. The videos are my main focus for this, as they all seem to be memories from Wally's pov. We see Wally's hand or hands in frame multiple times, showing that not only is it from his view we are watching but that he's not holding anything to record the moment. Even if sentient, a puppet can not upload memories onto a website. So Wally is built into the website in a way, though this was already hinted at with all the drawings he manages to add to the site.

But he's also not just on the website. Of the audio clips that can be found on the site through Wally's drawings, one of them is Wally talking about how he has more eyes than he did before. Sure there are a lot of eyes on the website for him to look through, but he also points out that we are the ones who have drawn his eyes. How, though, would he connect and see through the versions of his eyes we draw?

Lastly, the goo, or the substance that comes from the original Welcome Home items, though I call it a black goo since that's what seems to be on the staff-only site. This goo seems to thump like a heart and leaves people feeling sick and drained when they make contact with it. A goo that someone, likely Wally, is apologizing for. We already had clues that the people behind the Restoration Project were feeling pain while looking for clues because of the hidden answers in the get-to-know section. But with the staff-only site and the goo, we now see its effects a little more clearly. Especially shown with the phone ringing that is written all over the staff site, but without a known source.

At this point, I'm starting to think that Wally's awakening of sentience also brought out something almost eldritch in nature. Though it's clear Wally doesn't have control over it and is suffering as well from the effects. It's why he's trying to contact us, to ask for help. To want to be heard and seen as well as to hear and see in turn. But, what are we letting him into? The audio found on the error site asks us to let him in, but to what? He doesn't want out, he wants in. I feel somehow that's an important distinction that he's not asking to be freed as much as he's asking us to give him access. Access to what? Currently, I think our minds. In the same way that he is in the heads of the Restoration Team, though I don't think he means it maliciously as much as it's part of the goo/eldritch thing that is also present.

Can't wait for more of the story to come out!

I want to talk about the black goo that is prevalent in the site past the lockbox. The stuff that seems to be coming out of the art itself and that is all over the other site and the room shown in the pictures.

The stuff that grows and is why none of the actual art can be touch with bare hands. That makes people feel sick and dizzy. Though whatever is causing it, supposedly Wally or other, does apologies for in invisible ink.

Ink which appears elsewhere as well though  if written by the same person is unclear. Since the one above is apologizing for the goo in a way while the one below seems to be one of the Restoration Team, likely the leader, who is disgusted.

 But the goo seems to be alive. On the other site it is thumping almost like a heartbeat and there is even an eye in the goo shown in a picture on the site. The goo stains the entire other site and kinda reminds me of the “so below” hidden beneath Home. I wonder if the other site itself is the so below of the Welcome Home site.

Drawings and the video clips.

Foremost, I want to point out that in all the audio clips that appear when you click on Wally’s drawings there is text underneath them that transcribes what’s being said. The same for the videos, for anyone that had trouble listening. The main thing I wanted to talk about though is the videos. In every single one, Wally is also present, even if he never talks, and in every single one when the other neighbors go to address him the audio glitches out on Wally’s name. Heck in the labels on those videos two letters are at the end to represent which neighbors are in the clip, but Wally’s is never attached because he is just always there. Silent and listening, doing his own thing. Often overlooked in the conversation until the end of the clip when the others acknowledge him and the audio glitches on his name. I’m not sure why though. This isn’t the first of the audio’s to be glitched or scratched, but it’s always at his name. Also all the clips seem to be from the same day in a way. The last of the 14 clips is a discussion between Barnaby and Home where Barnaby talks about his day and reference back to some of the other clips. This one also sticks out to me because of how it ends. When Barnaby turns to acknowledge Wally like all the others do at the end, he talks about how Wally stopped painting and seems concerned like something happened. Not only is the ending bring more questions, but that also means that if all these were connected Wally was always present whenever anyone talked. My current theory is because this is potentially when Wally gain sentience, like the last episode of Welcome Home. Wally as the main character is always present in the scene, but whenever he is acknowledged his name glitches out. And at the end of the day or in this case the last clip, something is bothering Wally. It’s also interesting to note that the video we see is likely from Wally’s eyes.

Ok so on the other site the you get to for answering the Playfellow Exhibition Worksheet, there are a lot of papers. Most have a transcript over them, so they are easier to read. This one did not. I did some minor changes to the picture quality to try and make it more legible but it only helped so much. Still from what I can read I think this is about when they first received the mail with information about Welcome Home. Talking about needing to catalogue something and how it was wet. I’m not really sure as I have poor vision, but still. Maybe someone else can read this better than me.

Is Wally truly a puppet?

And no I don’t mean in the sense that he was a person before hand. (Please note this info is from memory as the site is down)

First off, the Restoration Team of Welcome Home talks about how they are finding pictures and old paraphernalia from the show. They talk about old scripts and show parts of books, but at no point do they talk about having the actual puppets. Yet Wally is seen as present.

Both in his drawings in the guest book as well as some other messages, it is shown that Wally is active and aware of the site.

Going back to the Restoration Team, hidden in the Q&A section there are hidden messages about needing to get it out and that it hurts both alluding to something in the Team leader’s head.

In order to supposedly get whatever is hurting the Team leader out of his head he started the website and the restoration project. And what if he did? What if it was Wally in his head that he had to get out and in doing so put him into the website? Maybe not fully or maybe letting Wally interact at least keeps him quiet, but most of the signs of Wally being around seem more like they come from inside the website than anything. Especially if they do not have his puppet, it makes me wonder what Wally is.

I know that Clown has made a few post talking about Welcome Home more relating to gaining a concise and awareness, so I know that the thought is mainly a puppet gaining sentience, but is he just a puppet? 

Most of this is just speculation and such but I still think it should be consider that Wally may not be confined to his puppet body.
