For four weeks, Nanami had managed to avoid you. Not out of malice, not even intentionally at first, but because it was easier than dealing with the chaos you had stirred in him.
But no matter how much he tried to focus on his studies, his part-time job, and the ever-growing expectations from his parents, there was one thing he couldn’t control—seeing you.
It happened too often to be coincidence.
The first time, it was in the library. He had been reviewing case law when a soft laugh pulled his attention. There you were, sitting with him. Ren Tanaka. The man whose name had become an irritant in his mind.
You looked comfortable, leaning in slightly as you listened to whatever Tanaka was saying. And when you laughed, something bitter settled in Nanami’s throat.
The second time, it was at the café near campus. Tanaka was paying for your drink, and you playfully nudged his shoulder in thanks. Nanami told himself it wasn’t his business. That it didn’t matter.
The third time, Tanaka had his hand on the small of your back. It was a brief touch, barely lasting a second as he guided you through a crowded hallway. But Nanami clenched his jaw so hard he thought his teeth might crack.
He didn’t act on these emotions. That wasn’t who he was. He didn’t let irrational feelings dictate his behavior. But it didn’t mean they weren’t there.
Jealousy was an emotion he had no right to feel.
And yet, it followed him.
Unfortunately, while you spent your time with Tanaka, Nanami was stuck with her.
Ayaka Takahashi.
The woman his parents had practically handpicked for him. She was polished, elegant, and everything a proper socialite should be. She had wealth, status, and the kind of family name that turned heads in high society.
And Nanami couldn’t stand her.
She wasn’t awful, exactly. But she was everything he despised—shallow, judgmental, and utterly consumed by appearances.
That Friday night, he found himself sitting across from her at yet another dinner his parents had arranged.
“I don’t know why you insist on taking me to these places, Kento.” Ayaka sighed, looking around the dimly lit restaurant with barely veiled disdain. “The service is passable, but there’s nothing exclusive about it.”
Nanami barely spared her a glance. “I didn’t choose it.”
She pouted slightly. “Of course. Your parents did. They’re always looking out for you.”
Nanami resisted the urge to check his watch. He already knew how long this dinner had been dragging on—too long.
Ayaka continued talking about something he had no interest in, but he barely listened, nodding at the right moments, offering short responses when necessary.
It was a routine at this point.
But then—
“Oh,” she said suddenly, her tone shifting into something sharper. “I completely forgot to tell you. My mother was at some charity event recently. You’ll never guess whose family was parading themselves around.”
Nanami didn’t have to guess.
Ayaka smirked. “The [Your Last Name]s.”
Nanami set his fork down, his movements controlled. “And?”
“And,” she drawled, tilting her head, “they were shameless as always. Acting like they’re so generous, as if they actually care about the causes they support. It’s laughable, really.”
Nanami’s jaw tensed.
“I mean, come on,” Ayaka continued, swirling her wine glass lazily. “We both know the only reason their daughter is involved in charity work is because she’s desperate for attention. It’s embarrassing, really.”
His grip on his napkin tightened.
“She’s always acting so sweet and innocent, but let’s be real—she’s just like the rest of them. Always looking for the next rich guy to wrap around her finger.” Ayaka laughed lightly. “It’s honestly pathetic how many men fall for that act.”
Nanami’s stomach turned.
“She probably thinks she’s being so charitable, but all she’s doing is flaunting her privilege. What does she actually do? Hand out food for a few hours and call herself a saint? It’s disgusting.”
His patience snapped.
“That’s enough.”
Ayaka blinked at him, her smirk faltering. “What?”
Nanami’s voice was cold, measured. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She scoffed. “Oh, please, Kento. Don’t tell me you actually believe she’s—”
“I don’t believe, Ayaka.” His eyes locked onto hers, sharp and unforgiving. “I know.”
Her lips parted slightly in shock.
“Unlike you, she actually does something with her time. She puts in the effort, helps people who need it, and doesn’t spend her nights gossiping about people she doesn’t understand.” His voice was laced with quiet disdain. “But I wouldn’t expect you to comprehend that.”
Ayaka’s expression darkened. “Excuse me?”
Nanami pushed his chair back, standing smoothly. “I’ve lost my appetite.” He pulled out his wallet and tossed several bills onto the table. “Enjoy the rest of your evening.”
And with that, he walked out, leaving her fuming in his wake.
The night air was cool against his heated skin, but it did little to ease his frustration. He shouldn’t have lost his temper, but he couldn’t stand hearing her name dragged through the mud by someone so utterly empty.
He walked aimlessly through the city, trying to clear his mind.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw it.
A restaurant. A familiar figure inside.
You.
Sitting at a table with him.
Ren Tanaka.
Nanami’s breath caught in his throat.
You were smiling, tilting your head as you listened to whatever Ren was saying. Your hands moved slightly as you spoke, your eyes bright and animated.
You looked… happy.
Nanami couldn’t move.
Then, as if sensing him, you turned.
Your eyes met his through the window.
Your expression shifted—surprise, hesitation, something else he couldn’t quite place.
For a moment, neither of you looked away.
And then, Nanami did what he always did when something unsettled him.
He turned and walked away.
His chest felt heavy, his thoughts a mess.
But one thing was clear.
Avoiding you hadn’t made a difference.
Because no matter how hard he tried to bury it, the truth was painfully obvious.
He was still caught up in you.

The dining room of the Nanami estate was a picture of refinement—high ceilings, a crystal chandelier casting soft golden light, the long mahogany table set with fine china and gleaming silverware. The quiet hum of classical music played in the background, nearly drowned out by the voices of the two families engaged in discussion.
Nanami sat at the far end of the table, his posture rigid but practiced. His father, seated at the head, was deep in conversation with Mr. Takahashi about upcoming business mergers and legal strategies. It was a familiar setting, one he had been raised in, where every conversation had a purpose, every alliance a calculated move.
“The key to a successful firm,” Mr. Takahashi was saying, “is knowing which cases to take and which to leave alone. Not every battle is worth fighting.”
Nanami’s father nodded approvingly. “Exactly. Some lawyers waste their careers chasing ideals instead of securing real power. At the end of the day, reputation is everything.”
Nanami’s mother took a delicate sip of her wine. “It’s like that upcoming case involving the [Your Last Name] family. They always involve themselves in causes that are… questionable, don’t you think?”
Mrs. Takahashi smirked. “Oh, absolutely. I heard they’re throwing yet another charity event soon. Always parading themselves around as if that’s the same as real influence. Honestly, I wonder what they even gain from it.”
Nanami remained silent, his fingers tightening around his fork. He forced himself to keep his expression neutral, even as irritation twisted in his chest. They spoke about you and your family so casually, as if you were nothing more than a misguided idealist playing at generosity.
He wanted to correct them. Wanted to tell them they were wrong about you. But he knew better.
His father was already displeased about his association with you. Speaking up now would only draw more scrutiny—scrutiny he couldn’t afford.
So, he stayed quiet.
Across from him, Ayaka Takahashi, their daughter, turned to him with a charming smile. “You’re awfully quiet tonight, Nanami. Is dinner not to your liking?”
He met her gaze, giving a polite nod. “The food is fine.”
“You always seem so serious,” she mused, resting her chin on her palm. “Maybe you just need the right company to loosen up.”
Nanami didn’t react, but his father did.
“Ayaka is an exceptional young woman,” his father said smoothly, cutting into his steak. “She comes from a family with strong values, and she’s already making a name for herself in the legal world. Kento, you should take the time to get to know her better.”
Nanami kept his expression unreadable. “I spoke with her at the conference. She’s impressive.”
Ayaka smiled. “You think so? That’s nice to hear. Maybe we should have dinner sometime—just the two of us.”
Before he could reply, Mrs. Takahashi chuckled. “Oh, I agree. They would make such a perfect match.”
Nanami’s mother hummed in approval. “We’ve always wanted Kento to be with someone who understands our world. Someone with the same drive, the same ambitions.”
His father nodded, his gaze sharp. “Ayaka is a smart choice, Kento. A relationship should be built on more than just fleeting emotions. It should be built on stability, power, and strategy. You would do well to remember that.”
Nanami didn’t respond immediately. He was used to this—his life planned out in careful steps, his future mapped by decisions he was barely given a say in. He was used to expectations.
But for the first time in a long time, he felt like resisting.
And he knew exactly why.
The dinner at the Nanami estate was perfect, by every standard that mattered to his parents. The company was prestigious, the conversation strategic, and the atmosphere calculated.
But for Nanami, it had never felt more suffocating.
As he listened to Ayaka laugh beside him, as his father spoke of futures he was expected to walk into, all he could think about was you.
And the truth he hadn’t wanted to admit.
That no matter how much he tried to convince himself otherwise, he didn’t want the life his parents had planned for him.
And he didn’t want her.
He wanted you.
But he wasn’t sure if it even mattered anymore.
The campus cafeteria was a buzzing mess of students chatting between classes, the smell of coffee and fried food lingering in the air. You sat with Shoko and Toji’s reader, idly stirring your drink as you waited for Gojo’s reader to arrive. The day had been dragging, and for once, you weren’t sure you were looking forward to this meetup.
Shoko exhaled a lazy puff of smoke before putting out her cigarette. “Saw Nanami last night, by the way.”
Your interest piqued immediately. “Oh?”
She leaned back in her chair, looking entirely unbothered. “Yeah. Looked like he was on a date.”
Your stomach dropped. “What?”
Toji’s reader raised a brow. “With who?”
“Some rich girl,” Shoko said, waving a hand dismissively. “Ayaka Takahashi. You know, her family’s loaded. I saw them at this fancy restaurant—real expensive place. They looked cozy.”
Your fingers tightened around your cup. Nanami on a date. With another girl.
You felt something you didn’t want to name twist in your chest. He had been pushing you away for days, ignoring your texts, acting cold and distant. And now you were hearing that he had been out with someone else?
You weren’t sure what hurt more—the fact that he had gone on a date, or the fact that he hadn’t even bothered to tell you.
You opened your mouth, but before you could react, a voice interrupted.
“Hey, sorry I’m late!”
Gojo’s reader slid into the seat beside you, completely unaware of the storm brewing inside you.
You forced a smile, pushing everything down. “No worries. We were just catching up.”
But even as you tried to focus on the conversation, your mind was elsewhere.
On him. On the way he had shut you out.
And on the realization that maybe you had been foolish to think you were ever different to him.

You had been haunting Nanami’s thoughts since that night.
He could still feel the lingering warmth of the moment—the soft glow of the garden lights, the way the stars framed your face, the look in your eyes right before you leaned in. He had stopped you. Walked away without a word. And yet, your presence refused to leave him.
It wasn’t just the near-kiss that plagued him; it was everything leading up to it. The laughter, the shared glances, the way conversation flowed so easily between you. He had let his guard slip, let himself enjoy your company more than he should have. It was a miscalculation, one he had spent the past few days trying to correct.
Avoidance was the best solution.
He didn’t text you. Didn’t acknowledge you in class. If he saw you across campus, he turned the other way. It wasn’t cruel—at least, that’s what he told himself. It was necessary.
His life had been planned out since the day he was old enough to understand it. He would become an exceptional lawyer, take over his parents’ firm, and uphold the family name. That was his purpose. There was no room for distractions—especially not one as unpredictable as you.
His parents would never approve. They tolerated your family, but only in the way one tolerated an inevitable inconvenience. Too much money, too little discipline, his father had once said. More interested in social events than serious legal work. His mother had been more subtle but no less dismissive. She’s charming, I suppose, but charm only gets you so far.
He knew exactly what they would think if they found out he had entertained anything more than polite acquaintanceship with you. They would be disappointed.
And Nanami Kento did not disappoint.
That was why, when he accompanied his parents to the Asakura Legal Summit, he forced himself to stand straight, speak eloquently, and engage in the dull but necessary small talk that came with these events. His parents’ friends had a daughter—a well-mannered, intelligent law student, poised and composed in the way that made her an ideal match, at least in their eyes.
He made conversation with her, answering her polite questions and offering equally polite responses. She was pleasant, intelligent, and respectable.
And yet, the moment you walked in, he forgot whatever it was they had been discussing.
You were breathtaking.
The gown you wore was elegant but effortless, the soft fabric flowing around you as if you belonged in a dream. Your confidence, the way you carried yourself, only made it worse.
You saw him. Your eyes met.
For a second, he thought—hoped—you might come over. But you didn’t. You simply glanced away, turning your attention to someone else, leaving a hollow ache in his chest he hadn’t anticipated.
This is for the best, he reminded himself.
But as the night dragged on, it became unbearable. Every time he saw you laughing with someone, every time you charmed another guest with your easy grace, every time you didn’t look at him—it chipped away at the careful walls he had built.
And then he saw you with him.
A young man, handsome, confident, clearly taken with you. You smiled at him, said something that made him laugh. Nanami clenched his jaw.
Before he could think better of it, he was moving.
“Excuse me,” he muttered to the group he had been standing with, barely registering their response as he strode across the room.
You looked up as he approached, brows raising in surprise. The man beside you hesitated.
“May I steal you for a moment?” Nanami asked, his tone leaving no room for refusal.
You blinked but nodded, excusing yourself from the conversation. He led you to a quieter corner, away from prying eyes.
“Nanami,” you said carefully. “What are you—”
“I’m sorry,” he interrupted.
You stared at him, caught off guard. “For what?”
He hesitated. He couldn’t tell you the truth—that he had been avoiding you because he was afraid of how much he liked you, because you made him question everything he thought he wanted, because you were dangerous in the way that made him want to throw away years of discipline just to see you smile at him like you used to.
So instead, he simply said, “For how I acted.”
A brief silence stretched between you before you let out a quiet laugh, though there was no humor in it. “Right. You’re apologizing for avoiding me.”
He nodded.
You sighed, looking down for a moment before meeting his gaze again. “I get it,” you said, softer this time. “You’re not interested. I shouldn’t have—” You shook your head. “I shouldn’t have tried to kiss you. That was my mistake.”
Nanami opened his mouth to argue, but the words wouldn’t come. You think I don’t want you. That I don’t care.
Maybe that was for the best.
“You don’t have to explain anything,” you continued, forcing a small smile. “We can just… move on, okay?”
He wanted to say something—anything—but his silence spoke for him.
You exhaled, shaking your head slightly. “Alright then.”
The moment felt too heavy, too final, and maybe that’s why he found himself saying, “You looked like you were enjoying yourself tonight.”
Your lips quirked. “Is that your way of changing the subject?”
“Yes.”
You huffed a small laugh, your tension easing just slightly. “Fine. It was… tolerable.”
“Just tolerable?”
“Okay, maybe a little fun.”
Nanami exhaled, some of the weight in his chest lifting. “Good.”
A beat of silence passed between you. It wasn’t the same as before—there was a distance now, one he had created. And yet, you were still here, still speaking to him as if he hadn’t spent the past few days pretending you didn’t exist.
“You really had no reason to apologize, you know,” you said after a moment. “You were just being honest. I can take rejection, Nanami.”
He flinched at that word—rejection. That wasn’t what this was.
But what was it, then?
Before he could answer, you continued, voice quieter now. “I just… I thought maybe you felt something too.” A small, self-conscious laugh left your lips. “But I guess that was just me misreading things.”
Nanami clenched his fists at his sides. Tell her she’s wrong, some part of him whispered. Tell her you feel everything she thinks you don’t.
Instead, he said, “You didn’t misread anything.”
Your brows furrowed slightly. “Then why—”
“It’s complicated.”
You let out a slow breath. “Right. Of course, it is.”
The air between you felt heavier now, like something unsaid was pushing against it.
Finally, you smiled again—smaller this time, but still undeniably you. “I should get back.”
He nodded. “Of course.”
You turned to leave, but before you walked away, you glanced over your shoulder. “Don’t avoid me again, Nanami.”
He swallowed. “I won’t.”
You didn’t smile, but there was something softer in your gaze before you disappeared back into the crowd.
Nanami exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair.
He had gotten what he wanted.
So why did it feel like he had lost something?

okok so my beautiful bsf (luv u @monouser) introduced me to a japanese custom called kozukai and said “nanami.” so i said sir yes sir and now we’re here!!! ^.^
cw’s!!: fem! reader, family issues (rude comments :[), and petty husband nanami!!
wc: 1.1k (eeeeeee!!!!)
kento nanami had always considered himself to be a very sensible man. he had a stable income and occupation, a beautiful home, and was generally very mature and well-mannered.
until someone messed with you, then all of that carefully curated sensibility was thrown out the window.
see, when you had first mentioned the off-comments your family made about your relationship with him, — as much as it irked him — he urged you to brush it off. why should their opinions matter when the both of you are happy and healthy? you agreed (albeit begrudgingly), and simply moved on with your life. and honestly? everything fixed itself up for a while. your wedding went without a hitch, not one complaint or aggravating comment from any of your family members. you knew better though, that it was only a matter of time until it started again but worse. the calm before the storm, if you will.
of course, you were right.
as soon as you mentioned the new living arrangements to your family, it was nonstop. “you? a housewife? you could barely clean up after yourself when you were younger!”, “don’t you think that’s a little fast? you barely know how to cook a proper meal!”, “good luck to your husband, he’ll need it to deal with you.”
the next time you told your husband about the mean-spirited comments, there were tears lining your pretty eyes. as always, he was soft in his comfort, gently reassuring you that you didn’t need to do any of those things for him to be satisfied. “that’s a sad way to think.” he murmured, pressing his lips to your temple. “you’re not indebted to me because i chose to marry you. i take care of you because i want to. because i love you, do you understand?” when you nod, you think that’s the end of it. you and your husband love each other and that’s all that matters, end of story.
kento nanami was a sensible man, so of course he wasn’t planning any sort of revenge on your family. he was mature and stoic and well-mannered so when he suggested a family get-together at your shared home (“just formalities, my love. don’t you want them to see how happy we are?”), you didn’t even blink an eye. your husband wasn’t easy to anger. even if he was, he wasn’t one to act on it.
kento nanami was uptight and stubborn and sardonic in the best ways possible. but more than anything, your husband was petty.
kento had a plan when he walked up to you and the small group of family members you were speaking to. the conversation seemed to be going well at first, with them complimenting your home and gushing over the two gorgeous rings on your finger (he couldn’t help the small swell of pride that bloomed in his chest when you gave the diamonds a loving look). he had seen the way you tensed after something one of them said, a strained little laugh leaving your lips as your shoulders deflated slightly.
that’s when he swooped in, one of his hands resting against your hip while he pressed a kiss to your cheek. you gave him a soft smile, the spark of grateful relief in your gaze obvious to only him. “apologies for the interruption, my love. i just wanted to check in.” he muttered by your ear, giving your hip a small, reassuring squeeze. he knew your family was watching the interaction, probably wondering what he was telling you (he couldn’t care less).
he turned to your family once you assured him you were okay, giving them a polite nod of acknowledgment before turning back to you. “you look gorgeous in that dress, love. it was the best option out of the ones you showed me, i’m so glad you bought it.” his voice was pointedly louder than before, a detail only you caught that caused your brows to furrow slightly. what was he doing?
your family nodded along to his words before doing an almost comical double-take. “you bought it? with what money?” your brother was the first one to speak up, pointing (quite rudely, in your husbands opinion) directly at you while scoffing skeptically. your cheeks heated slightly in embarrassment, your lips parting to rebut his words until kento beat you to it.
“with her money.” he said it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. your gaze moved between the two men, trying to gauge whether or not you should step in. “your husband gives you an allowance?” there was a barely restrained grin on your brothers face, the cruel giddiness only growing when you didn’t immediately respond.
“she gives me an allowance, actually.” your husband spoke up once again, the narrow-eyed look he sent his way making your brothers brows furrow. “it’s more common practice amongst businessmen, so it’s understandable that you weren’t aware.” kento sounds a little more smug now. “she handles all of the finances, including my allowance. i’m honestly quite useless in comparison, i simply go to work and come home.” he added, his thumb tracing a senseless pattern over your hip.
your brother was practically glaring at the self-satisfied look your husband was wearing. but of course, your brother never knew when to stop, even if it was a losing battle. “oh, of course, because my sister is the person to trust with all of your finances. right.” his voice dripped with venomous sarcasm, his eyes rolling as he spoke.
“don’t talk about my wife like that.” your husband said suddenly, his eyes narrowed into a glare directly aimed at your brother. the two men gave each other the stare down for a few moments while you and your other family members looked between the two of them with wide eyes. your brother was the first to concede (obviously), storming off with a petulant sort of huff. the rest of your family was quick to follow (after giving you and your husband a polite nod, of course. who would dare disrespect you after the show your husband just put on?).
kento turned to you with a sheepish look after they left, the aftermath of his initial aggravation finally hitting him. “too much?” he asked softly, carefully watching you for your reaction. you only shook your head, a small smile pulling at the corners of your lips.
it’s safe to say your family hesitated in their unneeded comments after that day.

CEO Nanami Kento x Reader (slight mention of Geto x Gojo)
You have experienced unrequited crushes since you were a teenager; however, a painful unrequited love is a first for you.
Back when you were in high school, you had a crush on your senior, Gojo Satoru.
You had long forgotten what made you fall for such an idiotic man.
It might have been his charisma, his handsome face, his beautiful eyes, or his skills in being good at anything he took interest in.
However, that only lasted in your second year of high school. Satoru, on the other hand, was in his last year, preparing for graduation and entering college life.
You didn’t know how your group had formed with the famous 3rd-year trio.
But Kento and Yu have been your childhood friends since your family moved into their neighbourhood. So being admitted into the same school was no surprise.
Yet at some point in time, your group somehow merged with the 3rd year trio who were popular in their year.
One is Gojo Satoru for his loud and charismatic personality combined with his handsome face, eccentric hair and blue eyes.
Second is Geto Suguru for his mysterious and calm persona. He's also handsome with his long black hair, which seems to tantalize girls and adds to his charm.
And lastly, one of the school beauties is Ieri Shoko, a brown-haired beauty. She was one of the top students in your school, admitted to a prestigious medical university.
Of course, the two were the same, they were guaranteed a spot in the top college of their own choice.
It was quite comical really. A group of juniors being grouped together with some 3rd years.
Even up to this day, it astonished you how your group had formed, but you could still recall it. It was because of your crush on Gojo that these unlikely people had met and formed.
As the years passed, the two completely different groups of friends remained in touch and grew even closer, especially as you all entered college and made new friends. Your group seems to grow bigger.
In one of your favourite restaurant bars, some of your friends were already there and had started drinking by the time you arrived.
Gojo seems to have taken on the role of a host as Geto and some of your friends have yet to come.
The same could be said about your two childhood friends.
Yu was on his way to pick up his girlfriend from work. They would arrive together later, while Kento was still busy at work with Geto, working on a collaboration project.
Both of them had become the CEO of their own company. Each works really hard to create their own.
You couldn't be more proud of Kento for achieving his dream.
Sitting down in one of the booths, you ordered a drink. Watching as your white-haired friend drank and tried to liven up the party. At the same time, teasing and making fun of your friends and catching up.
You couldn’t help the smile on your lips.
Even though you were in a bar, it was a quiet one. One where you could have a drink and relax with soft music playing in the background.
The bar is illuminated with a cozy ambient from the lights. It was one of your favourites because of the atmosphere and the delicious cocktails and foods they make.
The bartender owner greeted you with a smile and served your drink. Taking a sip, you savour the sweet flavour and alcohol on your tongue, feeling the fatigue slowly ease from your body.
Your shoulders, tense from all the work, relaxed unknowingly.
Turning around, you started chatting with your friends, laughing and catching up, and ordering foods to fill your stomach.
As the alcohol flowed and the atmosphere warmed up, some people's tongues loosened and gossip started flowing.
Flicking the ash from her cigarette, Shoko asked, "So, how's it going with Nanami? I've noticed something more between the two of you lately."
You looked up at your friend, your eyebrow furrowing in confusion.
"What do you mean?" You asked. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Your friend rolled her eyes, her voice lazy as she teased you.
"You and Nanami. What? Don't tell me you haven't confessed even though he has already returned from abroad. You should take the chance. Don't wait for him to confess first, or you might miss your chance."
Hearing this, you panicked and tried to cover her mouth. However, it was in vain as your other friends turned their heads in your direction, curiosity in their eyes, ready to hear more about this juicy gossip.
Shoko just laughed and gave you a smirk.
"It's not like others don't know… more like they already know your painstaking love for your childhood friend for a long time"
She exhaled a puff of cigarette smoke and watched it drift lazily into the air.
"My dear, you wear your heart on your sleeve too easily. The only one who doesn't know is your beloved Nanami."
“Shoko, please! Will you be quiet!” You pleaded as you leaned over and tapped her on the arm, feeling your face flush.
Groaning, you buried your face in your hand.
"Hmm? What's this? I heard something about Y/n and Nanami. Is there something going on?" Gojo asked in a sing-along tone as he came over.
It seems the commotion between you and Shoko caught his attention and now he's ready to milk you dry for gossip, even though you have none.
“Nothing is going on,” You stated as you gave Gojo a slight glare, warning him to drop the topic. But the man seemed to not get the hint or if he did, he ignored it, feigning ignorance.
"Oh, come on now. Don't be stingy."
You groaned again as you shook your head, feeling an incoming headache already.
Taking a sip of your new cocktail, you tried to ignore the man and hoped he would drop the topic. However, Shoko and Gojo didn't seem keen on stopping as they continued to tease you.
“I was just asking about her and Nanami,” Shoko said as she gave a knowing look at Gojo.
Gojo smirked as he glanced at you, taking the hint. A mischievous glint in his eyes.
“And here I thought you were still crushing on me. How could you cheat on me, Y/n?” He pouted, his smooth lips jutting out and the corners of his eyes pointing down as he looked aggrieved at you.
“I didn’t know that you and Nanami were in that kind of relationship.”
“We’re not.” You snapped, starting to get annoyed at the man-child in front of you.
Both of your friends gave you a look, not believing you in the slightest.
"Just admit it, Y/n. We've seen how sad you were when Nanami went abroad to study. You were so wrecked that you lost so much weight and almost failed your first year of University. You were so miserable without him."
Shoko raised a brow at you as if proving a point, continuing.
"We've also known that you have always loved Nanami all this time, even though you had a little bit of 'scandal' with this idiot here."
She pointed at Gojo, who placed a hand over his heart and appeared offended.
"What scandal? Miss, for your information, I have always been a clean man." He stated, his chin pointing up, being dramatic.
You rolled your eyes at him for his exaggeration and turned your head to avoid your friends' inquisitive looks.
You admit that you had a crush on Gojo when you were in high school. You were attracted to his confident personality and handsome face, but that only lasted until graduation.
However, when Kento went abroad to further his education, that's when you realized that your feelings for him were more than just being a childhood friend.
You were in love with him.
You just never realized it. Since growing up, you have been so used to having him by your side that you have unconsciously taken his presence for granted
But when he left, you felt a massive hole open in your heart. An empty feeling inside you as if another part of you has gone missing.
Because of it, you slowly spiralled down from the sudden realization, leaving you a mess.
You have been in contact with Kento through text, but as time passed, it became harder to maintain. With the time difference between where Kento is and how busy you have been with your University life, your contacts slowly dwindled.
And now it has been almost a year before he contacted you again.
Picking up your phone without checking the caller ID, your eyes instantly reddened when you heard his voice, calm and composed as ever.
"How have you been, Y/n?"
It was Kento.
You choked back a sob as tears slowly gathered in your eyes. A deep ache echoed inside you. How much you have missed his voice.
Taking a deep breath, you tried to steady your voice, not wanting to give anything away, as you know that even a little he would be able to pick up on it.
"I'm doing well. Just busy with school. I didn't anticipate our professor assigning such a huge project right at the start and it seems to keep piling up no matter what."
You scold yourself. Of all the things you have to say, you just have to complain to him even though he finally contacted you after such a long time.
"How have you been, Kento? I hope you're doing well. I've heard that winter there was harsher than here," You awkwardly chuckled, trying to play it off.
"It's not too bad, but I do miss the weather there." Kento's short answer tugged at your heartstrings. Slowly, a tear escaped and rolled down your cheek. You blinked hard, trying to stop the others from falling.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you before Kento spoke again.
"....I heard from Yu. It seems you haven't been doing well."
You froze.
You didn't expect Yu to tell Kento about your condition, though with the anxious looks he's been giving you lately, you guess it was a given.
Looking at yourself in the window, your reflection stared back at you. You noticed the dark, hollowed cheeks, dark circles under your eyes, and dry lips.
Your body had obviously lost so much weight that you could feel your bones protruding. Your arms and legs were nothing but nearly skin and bones. Your face is gaunt and haggard.
It appears that no matter how much you hide your circumstances from your friends, it was pointless, especially from Yu.
You realize what a mess you really were in. How much of an asshole you have been for making your friends worry to the point that they have to contact Kento about you.
You gave a strained laugh, "They're worrying too much. It's just...university has been a little tough. I'm still in my first year so it's a given-"
"Don't lie, Y/n." Kento interrupted, his stern voice making it impossible for you to utter another lie.
He's always been like this. He always knew when you were lying.
The tears you had been holding back came crashing down, and all the pent-up emotions you had been suppressing came pouring out like a tidal wave. You couldn't stop the tears from flowing, and your shoulders shook with sobs.
You pulled the phone away from your ear, trying to muffle your sobs and you couldn't help but whisper, "...I miss you so much, Kento."
And just like that, with a few words, Kento was able to break the dam in your heart.
Your cries came out softly, but you were sure Kento heard you. He didn't end the call, but stayed silent, giving you a moment to let it all out and calm down.
Even though Kento was thousands of miles away, you felt his presence beside you, listening and never leaving you. You knew that he would always be there for you, no matter what.
After a few minutes had passed, you wiped your tears and tried to compose yourself but the soft hiccups still escaped your mouth.
"Y/n" Kento whispered, his voice incredibly soft and tender, soothing your turbulent heart.
"...hmm"
"I'll come back. Wait for me, okay?"
The tears, you thought you had finally stopped from earlier, flowed down your face again.
You swear Kento has a knack for making you cry so easily lately you couldn't help but ponder just where he learned such a thing.
Sniffling, you nodded however you remembered that he couldn't see you.
"Mmm..." You gave a soft reply as you sobbed and cried again.
What he said wasn't a promise but a statement.
You know that Kento doesn't make promises because he finds them nonsense and fragile. But you also know that he is a man of his word, and when he says something, he means it.
So when he says he'll come back, you know he will.
It was one of the reasons why you have loved this man.
You made a resolve to start getting back on your feet and working towards a goal.
You were determined to face Kento when he returned with the best version of yourself. Not wanting to show such a miserable wreck that you once were.
If he ever rejects you, at least you can say that you did everything you could and gave it your best. That way, you won't have any regrets.
"Ah~ but I've heard that Nanami has someone he has been in love though."
Gojo's voice snapped you out of your reverie, and a pang of realization washed over you.
It made you remember why you had been so distant from Kento lately.
When Kento finally returned from his studies abroad, you were the first one to greet him at the airport.
You were shocked by how much he had changed. The boy you knew from years ago was now a man.
Mature and calm. Taller with broad shoulders and a lean waist, handsome with a slender brow and sharp eyes, the naivete that was once there is gone.
Instead of a high school uniform, Kento now wears a suit, and his hair is slicked back with an undercut.
No more of the side bangs that you once always played with.
He was so different yet still the same.
He still has that same stern and reserved personality but cares for those close to him, especially to you.
Once you two reunited, you were so happy. You made sure to always try to meet him despite your busy schedule, trying to make up for all those years that you were apart.
At the same time, you also wanted to show your interest but you also know to show some restraint. You didn't want to scare him.
For now, you were content that he was back.
However, one afternoon, just as you were about to meet with Kento to ask him out to dinner, you overheard a conversation between Geto and Gojo.
The conversation was about Kento, and you couldn't help but eavesdrop.
Geto and Kento had recently started a joint project for their two companies.
So it was no coincidence that you found him in Kento's company's rest areas while Gojo was one of the biggest shareholders in Geto's company. It was a given he was also a part of the project.
You took a step back so as not to be spotted and heard your white-haired friend ask if Kento had a girlfriend as one of his female coworkers seems to be interested in your childhood friend.
Hearing this you couldn't help but frown, your hand clenching and a sour feeling rose in your chest.
Geto chuckled and shook his head.
"Really?" Gojo asked in surprise.
"I thought for sure he had a girlfriend since he seems to be the type to settle down first. Or maybe even a fiance."
"No, he doesn't have one but he does have a girl he really loves," Geto said as he exhaled a puff of smoke, tapping his cigarette.
"He was planning to ask her to be his girlfriend, but something happened and it didn't work out. However, I heard from him that he's planning to ask her again."
Gojo perked up.
"Really! Who is it? Who is Nanami in love with? Do I know her?" He asked excitedly, leaning forward as curiosity got the better of him.
Geto only chuckled at the man's antics before patting him on the head, telling him it wasn't appropriate to tell too much as it was not his place to share such a secret.
Gojo could only whine at his friend and dropped the subject, understanding that no matter how much he pestered Geto, his friend would not budge and reveal the identity of the woman Nanami was in love with.
He instead brought up a new topic to discuss, leaving you wondering who was the girl Kento was in love with.
You were stunned. A myriad of emotions surged through your mind in an instant but eventually, they all melted into a strong feeling of bitterness.
No wonder Kento never had a girlfriend for so many years. It turned out he had someone in his heart all along and now he seems intent on getting back with that girl.
You couldn't help but wonder.
What kind of girl does he like? What does the girl Kento love, look like? If that girl came back to him, would he surrender immediately and reconcile with her?
You even absurdly imagine them together.
Feeling a sob escape your mouth, you hurriedly went home that day, cancelling on Kento through a short message. You didn't call him as you didn't trust your voice not to tremble once you heard his voice.
That day, you drank until you couldn't stand.
You were glad you were home and never went out, otherwise you would have called Kento and made a mess of things, which you would have regretted later.
However, ever since then, you have distanced yourself from him.
Avoiding every gathering with your friends to try to minimize the chances of running into him.
You respect Kento too much to burden him with your feelings and ruin everything. You might resent the fact that the girl he loves might not be you but you still wanted to be friends with him no matter what.
Besides, you also have your own principles that you abide by, not wanting to put yourself in a complicated situation if the girl returns.
But by avoiding him so suddenly, he quickly noticed.
He tried to call you, wanting to confront you about such a sudden change.
You could only make an excuse that you were busy with work, but he knew that wasn't the whole truth.
And since knowing Kento for so long, you already know he wasn't the type to let this matter pester for so long and would eventually resort to seeing you in person.
However, you didn't want to see him, not until you could sort out your feelings for him or else you risk breaking down in front of him.
Without any other choice, you quickly set up to go on a business trip.
Successfully stopping him from seeing you as he wouldn't be able to chase after you because his company was in a crucial situation with the current project he was working on.
Thanks to it, you have been able to avoid him completely however, this time you couldn't turn down the invitation as one of your friends is getting engaged.
You knew you couldn't hide forever, and you didn't want to miss your friend's special day so, in the end, you concede.
Meeting him became inevitable.
Anxious and nervous, you have been drinking a lot since the moment you sat down, trying to calm your nerves and distract yourself.
But once they started talking about Kento and you, the bitter feelings you had been able to push back slowly rose in your chest and your mood turned sour.
You unconsciously started drinking heavily and because of it, your temper became fickle.
Eyeing the man in front of you, childishly making fun of your previous crush on him and on Kento, you couldn't help but realize that the man-child in front of you was the reason why this all started.
Suddenly, the urge to wipe that grin off his face with a slap was so dangerously tempting that your hand twitched.
However, you have been a person to never resort to such action and unnecessary violence. So you tried to think of something, attempting to divert your attention or else you might just do it.
You sigh to calm down but a dark expression still shows on your face.
Seeing this, Gojo eye's gleam with mischievous, unaware that he had stepped a foot on his grave, pushing you over the edge.
"What? Someone's jealous? Maybe I should try being your cupid and set you up with Nanami? Hmm? Maybe by then, I could give your pretty little ass a boost and not be a coward anymore."
Your lip twitched.
Maybe wiping that smug look on his face isn't so bad after all, you thought.
Lifting a hand and caressing his cheeks, you caught him off guard.
You gave a dark smile and a shiver involuntary went down his spine, his back sweating bullets.
SMACK!
Walking out of their own car and heading to the restaurant bar, Nanami and Geto let out a sigh of relief, taking off their jacket and loosened their tie.
They have just finished a meeting that has gone on for hours than necessary.
And now having finally finished, all they wanted was to drink, eat and relax throughout the night before being plunged to work the next day.
However, when they entered the bar, what awaited them was not what they had expected as they witnessed you and Gojo in the middle of the bar, engaged in a brawl.
Clearly, both of you were drunk as your faces were red not only from anger but from the alcohol as well. Your words slurring as the two of you yelled at each other.
What started as a harmless teasing quickly escalated into a messy, comedic fight for your friends to witness.
Holding onto Gojo's shirt and the other on his hair, the tall man has no other choice but to bend down as he did the same to you.
Some scratches and light bruises scattered throughout your body and face. Your clothes and hair a mess.
Gojo shouted, "I'm a liar?! What I said is the truth! You're a goddamn coward!"
"You say I'm a coward, what makes you then?!" You shouted as well, breathing heavily and glared at him.
You tug at his hair earning a yelp.
"Don't think I'm clueless you goddamn man-child. I saw it when you two graduated and Geto-senpai confessed! All these years and your relationship hasn't progressed at all! You two have been together and never left each other side and yet you haven't admitted that you love him. You've done nothing but play him all along."
A vein bulged at his forehead, irritated, Gojo pulled at your hair making you groan.
"Shut up you goddamn woman!"
"Fuck you! You white hair old bastard! Just fucking go and splayed your goddamn legs in front of Geto-senpai and finally get laid! You horny bastard!"
You yelled while your friends who have been calmly watching the whole time, even the owner, laughed at your nonsense screaming match.
That right.
When you secretly witness Geto's confession to Gojo on their graduation day that's when you realize.
Your crush for Gojo was nothing more than an admiration because of his confidence. Confidence in being himself while he unknowingly becomes a love-struck fool for Geto.
You envy and wanted that.
You wanted to be a love-struck fool for Kento but your insecurity and low self-esteem prevented you from confessing your love for the handsome man.
However, seeing that this goddamn idiot had done nothing when he had all the chance in the world while you, on the other hand, were a mess, missing Kento, who was abroad and had no face to confess since the memories of you crushing on such an idiotic guy were still fresh in everyone's mind, made you angry to no end.
You slump as your knees got weak not just from the alcohol but from all the feelings you have been holding back, your previous energy leaving you as the bitter feelings spread inside you.
Tears started flowing and falling on your cheeks without your permission. Seeing this Gojo froze, his grip loosening and the once lively bar slowly quieted as you softly cried.
"No...I'm the goddamn idiot here... I've also had the chance... the chance to confess and love Kento but because I'm a coward I didn't take it..."
You admitted.
That's right. You were angry not only because of this bastard but mostly at yourself for being the biggest idiot ever.
And now, learning that Kento has someone he loves and is thinking of being engaged with her.
Regret filled you to the point of suffocation.
"I only had myself to blame..."
You whimper, now completely drunk as you lose coherence and kneel on the floor.
You felt as though everything was crumbling. Slowly losing your mind as you sink further in your sorrow.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed your waist, lifting you from the floor and pulling you away from Gojo's grasp.
You were brought into a warm embrace, your head resting on a broad chest.
It was then that you heard Kento's voice.
Deep, calm and mature, a voice that always makes your heart flutter and the voice that you have come to love.
"I'll be taking her home as she's too drunk," Kento said, carrying you in his arms as he talked to your friends while Geto dealt with Gojo.
You couldn't help but nuzzle further in his arms, burying your head in his neck and hugging him tightly. Unknowingly, Kento's breath hitched and his heart quivered from your actions.
Geto nodded, saying he'd be taking Gojo as well who was completely drunk, his head was swaying from all directions. His legs no longer had any strength to hold him, already unconscious.
Adjusting you in his arms, Nanami looked at you and found that you were completely unconscious.
He sighs but an undeniable faint blush on the corner of his cheeks and ears can be seen if you look closely.
Ieri who had been enjoying the show and her drinks, saw it and she smiled knowingly as she watched Nanami take your things.
"Nanami" Ierie called and Nanami looked at her.
"Be nice to her, okay?"
Nanami's expression didn't change, but he replied softly, "I will."
Nodding at your friends and the bar owner, Nanami carried you out and into his car that was parked outside.
He opened the car door and put you down, taking a moment to look at you and saw your tear-streaked face.
When he reached out to wipe away your tears, your lashes brushed against his fingers. He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm down then got into the driver's seat, intent to take you home.
This time, he was determined to talk to you, even if you didn't want to. He wasn't going to let you go anytime soon.
Waking up, you groggily sat up as you looked around.
Clearly, it wasn't your room as the bedsheets were different. They were grey coloured and quite soft made of a different material from the ones you use.
The pieces of furniture were simple but obviously high-end and looked strangely familiar.
You didn't know how you got here nor did you remember what happened after you slapped Gojo but the feeling of being carried lingered in the back of your mind.
"Your awake." A deep husky voice said as the door opened.
It was Kento, holding a glass of water.
It finally dawned on you that you were in his place. You have been into his apartment a few times in the past however this was your first time staying over.
A nervous feeling settled in your stomach and felt your cheeks flushing. Whether from the lingering alcohol on your body or because of your feelings and the situation you are in, you don't know.
Still drunk and dazed, you obediently accepted the glass of water and took a few sips before setting it down on the nightstand.
An awkward silence envelops the two of you as Kento sat at the edge of the bed. His arms rested on his thigh and looking at you from the corner of his eyes, deep in thought.
You fidgeted. Your head lowered as you played with the bedsheet in your hand, feeling the soft fabric. You didn't know whether you should talk or not.
From the corner of your eyes, you stare at the man that you have been avoiding these past couple of weeks.
Two of his dress shirt buttons were undone, revealing his slender neck and chest, showing a hint of his muscular physique.
His sleeves were rolled up and you couldn't help but gaze at his forearms. The veins stood out along his arms, and his hands were large with defined knuckles and slender fingers.
His hair was slick back however few strands were sticking out, clearly messed up after a long day.
You might have been drunk nevertheless you still remember bit and pieces how he has carefully brought you from his car to his room.
Gently carrying you, laying you down and assisting you change from your work clothes to one of his.
Helplessly you thought, how could a man be so handsome and so caring at the same time.
Your eyes reddened.
The sour feeling from before sprang up again and tears gathered in your eyes.
Lifting a trembling hand, you covered your mouth as a sob escaped, trying to hide it, not wanting to make the situation worse.
You felt the bed shift then two rough and large hands cup your cheeks, raising your face.
Completely opposite from his usual reserve and stern expression, Kento looks at you with concern in his eyes.
"What's wrong, Y/n?" He asked, voice gentle and soft trying to calm you however hearing such tenderness, your cries seemed to grow even louder.
You stayed quiet. Pondering whether to confess everything or not, however, your heart got the best of you and you blurted.
"I love you. I love you, Kento. I have been ever since. I have always loved you... Please don't leave me." You cried as you confessed, your words became disjointed and frantic as you went on.
You didn't know what was Kento's reaction as large tears rolled down from your eyes, obscuring your vision.
You were sure you looked pathetic at that moment as you cried but that didn't matter anymore as you let it all out.
Long years of repressed emotions have completely overwhelmed you.
Your regret when Kento left, your joy when the two of you reunited. The searing pain of learning the truth that Kento has someone in his heart.
The jealousy and sorrow you drowned in as you distance yourself and finally the overwhelming love you hold for the man in front of you.
As you continued crying and repeating your confession like a broken record, warm lips suddenly sealed your lips, stopping your words.
Kento kissed you.
A strong, fierce and almost devouring one with a mix of revenge, and seeking reparation.
It only seemed to deepen as you felt his hand grab the back of your neck while the other drew you closer and tightened his embrace, as if afraid you would disappear.
You couldn't resist and kiss him back with just as much passion as you could.
Lifting your arms, you hugged his neck and pulled him closer while Kento lifted you in his lap, straddling him.
You kissed as if the both of you couldn't bear to separate. Your tongues danced and lips melted with each other.
You couldn't help but let out a moan, calling his name in desperation. A sweet tingling sensation runs through your body, making your toes curl.
It wasn't until the need to breathe that you pulled back.
Resting your forehead against his, you closed your eyes and felt your breaths intertwining.
Kento cups your face, caressing it and look into your eyes as you open them.
Longing, tenderness and adoration.
Emotions you never saw before now lingered in his eyes
"I love you too, Y/n." He said, his voice so tender and full of affection, it left you breathless.
"But what about the girl you like?"
Kento frowns, confusion in his eyes.
"I heard from Geto that you have someone you have loved for a long time." You quietly said.
Your voice trembling, just asking that question tormented you like no other but you had to.
You have to know who it is even if you are afraid of what Kento's answer might be.
Thinking this, your tears seemed like they would never dry as droplets fell on your cheeks.
Finally understanding what you mean and where you're coming from, Kento chuckled, wiping your cheeks and kissing you on the lips again before moving on to your neck where he felt your pulse.
"The person I love is you. I have loved you ever since and have always been. No one else but you."
You sat stunned for a moment as his confession slowly sank.
You sniffled and a fresh wave of tears fell however compared from before it was out of happiness.
Pulling Kento, you hugged him and fell onto the bed and this time, without reserve, you kissed him first.
Extra:
As morning came and illuminated the room in a soft light, Geto was just finishing his talk with Nanami on the phone when he heard the white-haired man in his bed groan in pain, holding his head.
Putting his phone away, Geto went to the kitchen to boil some water.
A few minutes later, he came back with a cup of honey lemon tea, handing it to Gojo.
Gojo who was in pain from a massive hang-over, didn't notice his friend staring at him in silence and quietly sip the hot tea.
"...So, is it true that you love me too?"
"PSHHH!"
Gojo spat out the tea, blushing, "..."
Let's just say another engagement party was arranged later on.
A/n: I had a hard time finishing writing this one shot.
It became longer and longer as I wrote when I was only planning to make a shorter one but then the plot just kept coming up and didn't know how to finish it. In the end, I had to torture myself to stick with it and finish it after more than 3 weeks of non-stop writing.
God, I'm such a masochist.😭
However, as I was writing the confession part, I couldn't help but start crying and I had to stop midway laughing at myself like a maniac. Oh my god.😭
I swear I won't be doing another long one-shot anytime soon. My brain was mush after this.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this fic! Please leave a comment on what you think!🥹

Kento Nanami detests food courts.
So many loud, bustling people, restaurants selling overpriced, greasy food. He'd much rather pack his lunch in advance and eat it on the go.
However, even with his tight scheduling and near-perfect memory, he can slip and forget. He only realises he’s forgotten when he reaches for his packed lunch and finds nothing but stale air inside his satchel.
He sighs.
His lip curls as he taps against the sticky screen of the menu. He detests fast food, but when it's between Mcdonald's and KFC, he's choosing the latter. Boneless wings combo meal with medium fries and water.
He picks up his meal from the counter with a nod to the woman handing it to him, before turning to find an empty seat.
He furrows his brows. 1PM on a Saturday. Of course it's busy.
Circling around the food court once, twice, he can't find a single empty table. He settles for sharing a larger table with two other individuals eating alone. Sat in silence, and trying not to make eye contact with anyone, he begins eating.
He is about 30% through his meal when someone sits opposite him, and oh, God.
He glances upwards, and suddenly his French fry went down the wrong way and he's coughing, eyes tearing up.
God, how pathetic is he? One glance at a pretty woman and he's choking on his food, taking gulps of his water to wash it down. Even worse, you're staring at him with worry, frozen still as if you're not sure whether to call for help or perform the Heimlich or just offer him some more water.
“... Are you okay?” you say. People are beginning to stare, and he's taking gulps of his water.
“Yes, thank you,” he says hoarsely. “Just went down the wrong way.”
You smile placidly, before turning your attention to your meal. A McDonald’s happy meal. Interesting choice.
He returns to his own food, too. He tries not to stare, but he can't help but steal glasses. The way your hair falls around your face, and the glint of your eyes through your frames, and your manicured nails, and the way you take tiny little bites of your food, and he can't help but know that if he left without speaking to you, or getting your number, he'd be kicking himself for the rest of his life.
Tell her you like her keychains, Kento. Start simple.
“You’re very beautiful.”
Shit. That was not what he meant to say.
You glance up, furrow your brows when you realise he’s looking at you, then you're smiling slightly bashfully. “Thank you!”
His face doesn't betray how horrified he is feeling at his now evident lack of game, rather, he manages to return your sweet little smile. “Do you often eat at food courts?”
“No, not really,” you say. “It's too loud. But I forgot to pack my lunch today.”
Kento can't help but bark out a laugh, clearing his throat when you look up at him in confusion. “Pardon me. It's just that I’m here for the same reason. I can’t stand this place.”
You giggle. “Matching.”
The two of you lapse into silence as you finish eating. You finish your meal before him, but he notices that even after packing up your trash, you're lingering in your seat. This is his chance, and he knows you're thinking the same thing.
He forces his eyes to stay on yours, refusing to let his lack of game drag his gaze away from the beautiful girl before him.
“Would you like to give me your number? Then… maybe we can go to a food court together sometime,” he says.
Fucking hell Kento. ‘Would you like to give me your number?’ Like you're doing her a favour? God, you're seriously going to die al—
You slide a napkin over the table, where you've already scrawled your digits. “Maybe we can go someplace nicer than a food court, huh?”
He blinks owlishly, looking between you and the napkin. He clears his throat. “Of course. I'll… I'll call you.”
You smile once more, sling your bag over your shoulder, and leave without another word.
Kento Nanami loves food courts.
Time Spent Sweetly

Fluff. Nanami takes you to a bakery.
Imagine you and Nanami going to your favorite bakery together after work. It had been a very long day for the two of you and tomorrow will definitely the same. You’re both use to this work, so taking a small bit of time together helps. Your favorite place to go when you’re busy is this bakery. It’s filled with all of the best baked goods and drinks that both of you enjoy. This was a time that you and Nanami both treasure. It was a small break from the shit reality that is your shared job. You always love that no matter how serious Nanami Kento is, he always tends to blush as soon as he bites into his treat. It’s such a cute thing to you. Nanami is such serious man yet loving anything sweet. He adores how you take small bites of yours. Trying to savor as much flavor as you can. You’re both so happy and satisfied being with each other.
Thank you so much for reading!💜

Smut, degeneration, praise kink, rough sex, nanami is a soft dom. You’ve been antsy to try something new with Nanami and he’s happy to experiment.
Your pov
Nanami Kento is a very respectful man. In our relationship and in the bedroom. He’s always been so kind and considerate to me. When he’s making love to me, that’s all it is. Making love. Now I don’t despise that. I actually love how soft and considerate he is with my body. He’s always asking for consent and worshiping my body like no other before him. The very though makes me blush like crazy. I want to push his limits. I want to see him go feral. I want to see just how rough Nanami can be.
I’ll admit, when he’s at work I get a little antsy for him to come home. God, my pussy is went just thinking about how good he feels stuffed in me. Recently I’ve been watching a lot of BDSM porn. And now all I can think of is Nanami being extreme rough with me. Tying me up, spanking me, calling me a slut, slapping me, and fucking my throat.
Slowly I make my way to my clit and make little circles. My breath is shallow and there is a pleasurable tingling sensation between my legs. I imagine him there. Touching me. Using my body in unholy ways. I make my way to my hole, plunging my fingers into my wet crevice. It’s a burning sensation that feels good. But I need more. I take my other hand to my left nipple a squeeze and pull on it. Now my moans are loud and I’m beginning to feel fuzzy. I’m imagining he’s on top of me fucking me so rough that I’m screaming. The thought makes me go faster and that familiar feeling is bubbling up in my abdomen. After a little bit longer I cum; hard, screaming my boyfriends name. My moans are so loud from the pleasure I’ve just given myself. I didn’t even care about how loud I was. I just needed to cum. And so I did. Just as I was calming down from my pleasurable high…
“Well isn’t this a surprise” Nanami said with a smirk on his face.
“Kento!” I exclaimed.
“Y/n if you needed me so bad darling I could’ve skipped going to the bakery.” He spoke looking down at you still sprawled on your shared bed.
“No, it’s fine I was just-“
“Love?” Nanami interrupted
“Y-yes” I replied hesitantly “What do you want right now” Nanami questioned
“I- Um… I” I spoke hesitantly
“Say it!” He commanded
“I want you to fuck me! I want you to be rough with me. I love the sex we normally do, but Ken I want more.” I said with slight embarrassment
Nanami came up to me and crouched down by the bed. Slowly lifted his fingers and pushed my chin up so I could look into his beautiful lust filled eyes.
“Is that all you want, just for me to be rough” Nanami questioned with is voice lowering.
“I want you to…” I trailed off
“Be a good girl and tell me what you want” he said as he made his way to the bed.
“Spank me, slap me, choke me, bite me, tie me up, use me. I just want you to be rough. I want to cum really hard ken. I love the soft sex and I’m not saying that I don’t want that, I just want to do more…” I said feeling hot in the face as he made himself comfortable on top of my body.
“All you had to do was as my love. Now, I will be rough with you, but if you need to stop during anything we do, simply say stop. I promise you I will stop everything and make sure you’re alright. Is that clear?” Nanami spoke confidently
“Yes Ken, that’s perfect” I moaned quietly
“Yes what? I don’t think I heard you correctly” Nanami ordered.
“Yes sir” I said rubbing my thighs together.
“Good girl. So obedient” he praised
Third person pov
Nanami commands you to undress. You do so obediently. No hesitation. Now you’re laid out in front of a fully dressed Nanami. Exposed with your cum dripping out of your heat. After he studies you for awhile, he takes his tie off and grabs your wrists and ties them together. Nanami notices how nervous you are are immediately asks if you’re okay. To which you respond with a very quick yes. You know he would never hurt you just to hurt you. He absolutely loves you too much.
Nanami then tells you to turn around and put your ass in the air. Without warning, he spanks your ass so hard you yelp. He asks you again if you’re okay to which you respond you are. His large hand is relentless on your ass after that. Slap after slap. Moan after moan. He doesn’t stop until your ass is nice and red with very visible hand marks. Your ass stings, but it’s such an arousing feeling that you don’t mind it. If anything you want more.
Suddenly he stops slapping your ass and begins caressing it. Kissing it and telling you how good of a job you did. You’re his good little slut, and he’s letting you know how good you did for him. How proud he is of your obedience. Such a good girl you are.
You hear his belt unbuckling and your try to turn your head to see. And there he is in all of his glory. Nanami dick is hard and veiny. With a very large pink tip oozing precum. You remember how hard it was fitting it inside you. But that’s when Nanami was gentle with you. Normally it took him a few minutes to fully it in.
Nanami took two of his fingers and plunged them into your heat. You immediately began moaning from the familiar feeling. God, it always felt good for you. He is very skilled with his fingers and always makes you cum hard from them. He was much tougher than he normally was and you felt yourself reaching your high faster than you ever have. Just as you were about to cum, he took his fingers out.
“Hey, I was just about to cum. Why did you stop” you wined
“You cum when I say you do. Is that understood.” Nanami said
“But-“ you whined
“Is that understood?” He asked
“Yes sir” you replied
“Good girl” Nanami praised
You then heard the drawer opening and Nanami grabbing an XL condom from the box. He then opened it and slowly slid the condom down his length. Making sure that it was on there perfectly. As much as Nanami dreams of being a father, he’s simply not ready for that yet. Maybe in a few years when you’re both ready for that type of responsibility.
Finally the moment you both were waiting for. Nanami then slid his dick inside of you. Not giving you any time to stretch to his length. He started pounding you with full force. The sound of slapping filled your shared apartment as did the sound of your pleasurable moans.
You were so close to reaching your high. You knew it and Nanami knew it. He was close too. The feeling of your walls clenching on him like this was so much different from the vanilla the two of you were only doing. Nanami loves going soft with you, but it really does feel so good being rough with his girl. He knows now that you can take it. That you are so obedient with him. He’s so excited for what else you can take. Just thinking about it makes him even harder than he already was.
Nanami kept hitting that sweet spot and without warning you cum yelling Nanami’s name. Your eyes blur from the high you just reached. Your breath is heavy and you have tears in your eyes. However, Nanami isn’t finished yet. He’s close so close. Hearing the way you moan his name makes him feel so good. Soon enough he reached his high as well. Just as he is about to cum, he takes the condom off. Thick ropes of cum are shot on your back and Nanami grunts loudly saying your name.
After you both catch your breaths, Nanami takes a t shirt and wipes his cum off of you. At this point you feel limp and your legs are wobbling. Nanami kisses your forehead and praises you for how well you took his dick. Slowly and carefully, he picks up your body and puts you in the bathtub. He turns on the tub filling it up with the right temperature of water. He then puts bath salts in as well because he knows how much you love bathing with them.
Kento then takes your body wash and a cloth and washes your body. Making sure to be gentle with you. All he desires is to take care of you. You do so well for him. This is the least that he could do. Soon after he washes you, Nanami gets in himself and pulls your now washed body to his chest and the two of you rest.
“That was so wonderful.” You sigh curling up in his chest.
“Yes, that was. Are you feeling okay, love” Kento questions
“Oh yes, thank you Kento.” you say in an exhausted tone.
“Would you be willing to go even further with me in the future?” He asked after a moment of peaceful silence.
“Absolutely!” You beam getting up slightly as you looked at him with pure excitement
“I’m glad, but just know that if you ever aren’t fully comfortable with something, we do not need to do it. My love, sex is a want not a need and I desire your love and respect above all else” Nanami says lovingly stroking your hair and coaxing you back on his chest.
“Thank you so much for saying that. I promise I’ll tell you if it gets too much. I do wanna try new things with you. So I’m glad to know that despite that, there is not pressure. Thank you for tonight I love you” you say
“I love you to y/n. No matter what happened that will never change.” Kento hummed enjoying having the women he loves in his arms.
Hey, so this is my first smut ever. I hope you guys like it. I will get better at writing these hopefully soon.😁

My Girl
Nanami Kento xfem!Reader
Fluff, established relationship, fem pronouns. A short story where Nanami thinks about the most beautiful things about you.
Nanami Pov
There is this woman. She is beautiful. She holds herself with such grace and elegance even if she swears against it. I find her charming and alluring. No time in my life had I thought a single person could make my heart glow with such passion. I need her. And I’ve never needed anyone this way. Just her.
Her hair is beautiful. I adore the way it shines in sun when we are out on our evening strolls. Her laugh is loud, but filled with joy. I normally cannot tolerate such a bold laugh, but If it’s hers, I simply adore it. The way she carries herself with such pride makes my heart burn with love. She is confident now. She didn’t use to be, but she realized how strong she was. And for that I am proud.
I consider myself lucky to know such a woman. Truthfully I don’t know what I did to deserve the honor of loving and caring for her. Im glad she allowed me to stay with her. For my life has been more enjoyable knowing she is mine. And I am hers.
I am forever grateful to whatever force led her to me. Soon I hope to propose to her. And I truly hope she consents to this. For I know she is the only woman for me. I’ve known that for a very long time now. We’ve been together for two years now and before that I loved her well back into our school years.
I love her in every way possible to man. I always will love her and care for her. I do this because she is…
My Girl
Thank you so much for reading❤️

Note: This was a quite a short fic since I’ve been trying to plan writing my own book.I had this idea from me cutting onions in my kitchen while listening to music whilst I was cooking lunch and I started imagining Nanami in my kitchen looking at me. I will be on Hiatus for now due to writer block AND I’m planning on writing my own book.
As the moon rise and the sun fall, the day was nearly over. The darkness fills the world around you, Yet your little world was still lit up with the things you desire—The things you’ve always wanted.
6:00 PM, Your Husband, Nanami Kento, should be done with his work. Him Working as a Jujutsu Sorcerer scares you, you both know the consequences on marrying each other.
That one day—your husband may not come back into your arms ever again. That one day, he won’t be there to protect you from the curses lurking around Tokyo and worse, talking you hostage.
Furthermore, you both stayed, they are many risk that had and yet to come, Yet, you both stayed. You pray to the Gods to keep Kento safe from any harm despite being a Jujutsu Sorcerer, Nonetheless, He was able to come home in your arms, Without knowing when is his final moments, you spend your time with him as much as you can.
Perhaps one day, you and Kento can live in Kuantan Malaysia like he mentioned briefly before. Peacefully living on the side of the beach—Walking to the shores near water freely with Kento, Drinking your favorite beverage whilst reading the unread books you and Kento have bought over the years.
Whilst a soft music was playing in the background as the same time you are cooking for dinner, you didn’t noticed nor hear the click on the door as your husband enters the house as continued steering into the pot. He placed his shoes down nicely aside whilst he removed his coat putting it on the couch, he hears a soft music coming from the kitchen, he smiles. Making his way, he saw your figure dancing as you hummed syncing to the music.
As you sway—he admire. Seeing your body sway and humming from the music puts a smile in his face, leaning from the door frame as he cross his arm. It took you a moment to notice as you sense a pair of eyes staring at you.Smiling, you turned around meeting his gaze.
“Welcome home, darling”, turning the stove off as you lower your music’s volume a little, “Hmm, I’m home”, he straighten his body as he walks towards you uncrossing his arms in the process.
“How was work, Hun?” placing both of your hand on his nape as you smile, “The usual, Gojo-san keeps irritating me” He mutter as he sigh whilst putting his hands behind of your hips pulling you closer to his. You laughed a little, earning a deep chuckle from your husband.
Both of you swayed in sync with the music, Smiling at the same time. “Tired?” You asked, Usually he’s exhausted from exorcising curses and dealing with his Senpai’s childish antics, “Not really, I was supervising Itadori the whole time”
“How is he doing?” You asked, Placing your forehead on his chest almost hearing his heart beat, “He’s doing great, he’s been improving fast”, you hummed in agreement, “That’s good”
Neither the both of you spoke, it was a comfortable silent, swaying through the music. The sun has fully set letting the moon rise from the horizon. You’ve imagine the future with Kento, living in Kuantan Malaysia, yet you’re still waiting for Kento to retire after this Sukuna incident.
“I love y-”
“Y/N! Dinner’s ready!” Your mom yelled from the kitchen whilst your standing outside of your balcony as the wind gushes touching your skin, reality hits. “coming, Mother!” You yelled back as you let out a small sigh, you were daydreaming again.
You stood there with tormented eyes, bottling the emotions you’re feeling right now. Shivering under the wind. Only a whisper under your breath—”...Damn it...” As you were leaving the balcony.
Sometimes, you wonder, Were you born in a different world?

Ao3 Version
Work was shit. He always says that. As an Ex Salaryman, he stayed and sat in his cubicle almost 24/7. All he thought was making money because if you didn’t have money, you wouldn’t survive in the real world, It was an unhealthy mindset that he had all those years. “Work is shit”.
He finds himself not taking care of himself for days, weeks, or even months just to finish every work he had. He lacks sleep, the bags under his eyes are getting darker and darker each day.
He lacks nutrition, He usually eats bread and coffee and says “He had lunch”, Yet sometimes he finds himself not eating and drinking for several hours. It was an unhealthy habit for him.
He didn’t want to go back to the Jujutsu World, or rather he doesn’t want to go back, but he knew running away wasn’t the answer to his problems, After all, He can still see curses, he couldn’t escape that world even if he wanted to.
The world was unfair. that was is perspective in life, some people living their best life without risking their lives to humanity whilst others risk their everything at a fairly young age just to survive this shitty world. He was right, the world is unfair.
Their lives were like a ticking bomb, you’ll never know when it will explode, Sooner than later? Their lives are like a gamble, one wrong play on their cards and it’s all over.
But something came into his world from what he didn’t plan nor controlled it, It was you. He was an observant person yet he didn’t notice that you were watching him from afar. You watched him to see if he’s doing well only to see his current state, and like every person feels, you were concerned about his current habits.
He didn’t expect someone to approach him, he thought he blend well with the others, but in your eyes, he didn’t. The first time you approached him, he gives this cold aura like usual however, there is something more than his cold aura, something... warm.
The idea of attachment wasn’t his thing, he knew this because of what happened in his past, It took him a long time to move on, trying his damn hardest to forget about what happened, trying his damn hardest to stop blaming himself because he knows his best friend wouldn’t like that. He knew the consequences of getting attached to someone, either they will stay or leave. He had tried pushing you away, but you didn’t budge, you knew he needed someone, someone to heal and fill his empty and broken heart, yet he doesn’t know he needed help until he met you.
He didn’t know why you stayed, it upsets him yet why does he feel euphoric? It didn’t help when you were always there to take care of him when he doesn’t do it to himself. You we’re always there for him, you were selfless, you put him first before yourself. It made him feel bad, he didn’t deserve the kindness you give him.
It was only a matter of time when he realized... he was in love. He said to himself to never fall in love or better, never started an attachment to someone only to end in a sad ending, yet... he made an exception, for you.
There was something special about you that made his heart race every time he spends his time with you. Maybe the way your eyes flutter like you were part of the royal family. Maybe the way your hands felt soft to his callused one. Maybe how your voice and laugh never failed to send butterflies in his stomach. He doesn’t like it when his plans doesn’t go as they usually do, but for you, he didn’t care anymore.
He was willing to take any of the risks just so he can spend his life with you. He was always selfless, but for the first time, he wanted to be selfish for once, he had fallen for you, deep. Yet he felt afraid, afraid that you would reject him, afraid that you would leave him after he had confessed his love to you, it scared him, it really did.
You knew better, you had picked up the small changes when he’s with you, he’s much softer than before, sometimes you can see a small tint of light crimson on his cheeks. You can't help but felt amused seeing a stoic man feel like this, it made you fall even deeper.
He still remembers the day he can finally call you his. He wanted to cry, he felt overjoyed that you felt the same way, he wanted to hold you forever, he wanted to take care care of you like one of the kind fragile beautiful glass he wants to keep forever.
He didn’t know if it was the right time to say this, his feelings for you grew and grew each day, it overwhelms him sometimes. He sometimes thinks about what would happen if you didn’t come into his life. He studies you whilst you admire the moon from afar as a warm smile made his heart beat.
“The moon is beautiful, Isn’t it?” He was caught off guard with a simple question as he looked at the moon above. You were right, it was beautiful as the moonlight shines. He thinks again, ‘Is tonight the right time?’, nonetheless, he pushed his negative thoughts and goes for it. ‘Fuck it’.
“Y/N...” it made your heart race, it was the first time he used your first name, It made you think for a second, and then you realized, he was gonna do it.
“I love you” You smiled, then turned into a small giggle, you couldn’t help it. “I know” He was taken back from your answer as his cheeks was slightly flushed, was he really that transparent about it?
“What do you mean by that?”
“I don’t know, I just felt like it, But... I’m glad you felt the same way, Kento” It was also the first time you used his first word, it made his heart beat faster than before. You slowly approached him, leaned forward as you grabbed his collar lightly, pulling him closer until your lips met his.
The butterflies in his stomach have gone wild, His heart beats rapidly, he didn’t think it would go so fast, nonetheless, he didn’t protest. His arms have wrapped around you pulling you closer, he didn’t want to let go, he never wanted to let go of you, it felt like heaven.
Both of you slowly pulled away, you met his gaze, he met yours. you couldn’t help but laugh ignoring your flushed cheek. he laughed as well, the butterfly in your stomach grow as you heard his deep voice, you couldn't help but bury your face in his chest.
He held you tighter, you did too. It was one of the best moments that has happened to both of you. Finally, he can call you his, and you can call him yours, It felt like home.
‘Maybe the world can be fair sometimes..’
He went back to the Jujutsu world, it was a much more suitable job for him, after years of running away, he came back, there was no sense why he still kept running away, something in him didn’t felt right.
yet he was afraid, afraid that he may never come home to you, afraid that he wouldn’t have enough time for you, afraid that you might get tired of him.
He knew that coming back has consequences. But you reassured him that it was okay and you understand, It was okay that he didn’t have enough time for you, you reassured him that you will never get tired of him because you love him. But you were afraid too, Afraid that he might never come home, that he will never come back to you, but you knew better, he was strong, he always keeps his promises.
he had explained everything after the incident, the incident where a flyhead was terrorizing your home. He had seen you crying in the corner of your bedroom whilst the flyhead still roams around freely.
he explained about the Jujutsu World and how it works, you had wished that you could do something to help him yet he reassured you that you don’t need to, and he just needs you by his side, and you did.
Your relationship was secret, the secret to the Jujutsu world, he didn’t want his senpai, Gojo Satoru, to learn about this, he also did it to keep you safe from the curses, being that you were an easy target to abduct or worse, torture you. He made sure you were alright, he made sure you were comfortable in his home, he made sure you were healthy, and you did the same.
But when this kid named Itadori Yuuji entered the Jujutsu World, He had to overwork most of the time, it annoys him, he wanted to spend time with you yet he comes home late at night to see the sight of you either sleeping on the couch or sleeping on the dinner table. So he tries to make things up, every weekend without a fail, he spends his time with you ignoring his annoying senpai and the higher ups.
But somehow Gojo along with his first year students accidentally spotted him with a person talking to him, and for the first time, they saw the stoic man smiling, Gojo couldn’t pass this opportunity to tease his kouhai, but he was also curious on who the person was considering they were the first one who made him feel like that for years.
“Nanamin!” an unfamiliar voice called your boyfriend in the distance, you had noticed that Kento flinched quite a bit making you confuse who was it.
“God, why is he here?” He groaned in annoyance as he placed his two fingers in the bridge of his nose, “You know him-” A sudden arm wrapped Kento’s shoulder making you stop as you noticed the man was a little taller than Kento, he also had an unusual white color which you don't see often.
“Nanamin, why didn’t you come with us?! also...” He begins to turn around, finally making eye contact with you, “Who is this?” but before Kento replied, the blacked haired teenager suddenly smacked him in the head, “Gojo-sensei, you shouldn’t approach others unannounced.”
“..Sensei?” you accidentally blurt it out without even noticing, “This is my senpai, Gojo Satoru, and this is his first-year students, Kugisaki Nobara, Fushiguro Megumi, and Itadori Yuuji, He’s the one I’ve been supervising” Kento introduces whilst the teen bowed as a sign of respect.
“As I was saying, who is this?” He asked again but this time, you looked over Kento eyeing if he wants him to know, ‘Are you okay with telling the truth?’ ‘Yeah, he’s bound to know sooner than later, besides I don’t want him annoying me if you didn’t tell’, “Oi oi oi! are you talking using your mind?”
You couldn’t help but let out a chuckle as the sight of the man named gojo annoying him, “I’m sorry for not introducing myself to you earlier, I’m L/N Y/N, I am Kento’s significant other, it’s a pleasure meeting you all” it went quiet, you wondered if you said something wrong, “Let them process” He whispered reassuring you that you didn’t say anything bad.
“You have a significant other?!” Gojo, Nobara and Yuuji said in sync whilst Megumi only widen his eyes—“Yes and I would have kept it for longer” “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?! YOUR FAVORITE SENPAI! I FEEL BETRAYED!” you let out a giggle as you admire your boyfriend whilst his senpai annoys him.
However, as months have passed, he picked up the slightest change you had. You had headaches quite often, you brushed it off thinking it was just stress but it didn’t help that it had woken you up in the middle of the night. You became more nauseous, you weren’t a nauseous person but it had gotten worse when you started to vomit frequently. You had mentioned that you had trouble hearing and blurry vision. You tend to forget things easily.
Sometimes, you lost balance making you fall or even trip, what’s worse is that sometimes he can’t predict your mood. It concerns him, it was slowly getting worse as days, and weeks have passed. He suggested going and see a doctor but you always shrug it off and said “I’ll be fine”, He wanted to force you to go see a doctor, but he didn’t want you to force you into something you’ve already disagreed on. But that was his mistake.
He remembers that day well, it haunts him, where you suddenly have fallen on your knees. It brings him pain just remembering that day.
You were waiting for him in front of the gate, you wanted to surprise him so you planned to pick him up from Jujutsu Tech, but the longer you waited, the more your headache has gotten worse. You question why you have been feeling like this for the past months, you were slowly considering going to the doctor but you just sucked it up as you saw Kento leaving the building with Gojo and the first-years.
His gaze spotted you as you waved at him and shouted—“Kento-” however you suddenly felt a painful ache as you put your hand on your head, then a wave of dizziness hits you making you lose your balance as you fell to your knees.
“Y/N!” you heard a faint voice, your hearing is slowly getting worse, and so is your vision, all you see is a blur as you felt a hand behind your back, it was Kento’s. The pain was unbearable, tears threatening to leave your eyes “Kento... I-It hurts—My head hurts, my vision is blurry, I can hardly hear...”—You whimpered as tears streaming down your face, It truly hurts, “Shh, It will be alright, I’ll bring you to Ieiri-san”
he hated seeing you cry or in pain, despite that, he sucked it up as he picked you up making his way to his female senpai.
He didn’t feel the same, He was never gonna be the same, after all, you were is home. when Ieiri had brought the news, it had broke Kento’s heart. Was this the risk in your relationship?
He waited, he’s a patient man, he can wait forever to make sure your alright, so he waited—Anxiously. he had taken a seat whilst Gojo and the first years waited on your condition, they grew fond of you, you were like their parent figure to them. The female doctor suddenly makes an appearance, closing the door behind her gently as she looked a the group whilst Kento got up from his seat.
Her face was unreadable, he knew it was bad, but he had hope. “I’ve got good news and bad news, the good news is that Y/N fine” She paused, she was very hesitant to tell the bad news, “... And the bad news?” She let out a sigh, staring at his eyes and said;
“Y/N have Brain Tumor”
He felt like his whole world crumble, he didn’t know how to process it, that news ruined him, Is he about to lose you? he can’t, he didn’t want to, he already lost someone before, he doesn't want to lose you. Why didn’t he took you to the doctor immediately? He blames himself—he could have did something to prevent it, yet he didn’t.
You were his comfort every time he needed someone to hold, his special person who made him better, his person he always want to come home to, You were his home.
“It seems like they had it for the past few months, usually the tumor in your brain can be removed in an early stage but...” She trailed off her words, sometimes, Kento wished he didn’t understand this kinds of situation so easily, he easily understands that it was nearly your time to leave this world for good.
“they won’t make it, right?” He spoke up, he didn’t want to believe it, but it was the reality, a harsh reality. “Sadly yes. Due to their condition right now, I can only suspect that Y/N will live for a day or less than that..”
“W-wait why?!” Nobara protested, ever since she had met you, she had grew fond of you, maybe because you were an easy outgoing person, “It already grew a lot, all we can do is to accept it.” She started to turn around and walk away slowly, “B-but your a doctor! You should be able to save them!” “Kugisaki, that’s enough” Megumi rested his hand on her shoulder as she shot her eyes on him, “Nobara, I know how you feel but not all doctors can save every patient.. You can visit them if you like”
It went silent, even Gojo went silent, what would happen if he didn’t met you? Would he be happier? Would be like this? “If you would like to visit Y/N, please do” He had excused himself, He didn’t want to face you right now, not with his current mindset, “But-” “Let him be Yuuji, He needs some alone time right now”
He questions himself, why you? out of all the people in this planet, why does it has to be you? He overthinks everything, his memories with you flashes, he had chosen this, he knew the risk but he didn’t know that... this was the risk of it. Time has passed, he didn’t even noticed it until his senpai had texted him. ‘You can visit them now, we’ve left a while ago’
he made his way to the empty hallway, He had kept his deadpan face for so long, sometimes it made you think when will it break, however you didn’t think it would break on your deathbed. He stood in front of the door, He hesitantly knocked the door and said, “Y/N..” “Kento? Is that you?” You immediately responded, he knew you were waiting for him so he gently opened the door as he gently close the door behind him making his way to the bed you are currently in.
He look into your eyes, and you look into his, you were still gorgeous to his eyes, he had noticed that you were gesturing him so come closer, “Come Kento, I wanna talk with you” You smiled, like you weren’t about to die, like you weren’t about to leave everything, leave him. He made his way on the empty chair beside you as he sat not leaving his eyes from you.
“...How are you feeling?” He asked, you can hear the concern in his tone, face and his eyes. “I feel fine, though I’m a bit tired”, You grabbed his hands and caressed his hands, it still amazed you how big Kento’s hands compared to you. It was quiet, it wasn’t awkward, the silent was comforting to the both of you, “I’m sorry...” you had broke the silence, he was taken back, why did you apologize?
“Why are you apologizing?” “I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you, I guess this wasn’t stress after all” a small chuckle leave your lips, It truly wasn’t your fault, if he had known this, he would have prevented it, if only- “Kento.” Your voice snapped him on his little thought, you looked at him, your gaze is much more different than earlier, “Are you thinking about things you can avoid this situation?”
It still surprise him how you can always read him like a book, you were like the author in his own book, “I should be the one who apologize, not you” A soft chuckle escaped your lips again. He kept his deadpan face, but it seems like it was almost about to break, you’ve noticed it, your eyes soften whilst you held his hands caressing his fingers gently, “Aren’t you afraid?” He asked, “Afraid of what?” “Of death..” You think for a second then your lips curled as you look him in the eyes and said, “Why fear something unavoidable? everyone has to experience it.” It went quiet again, He has a lot to say, why can’t he say it?
“You know, I always wanted to live in Malaysia, Kuantan Malaysia... with you”
“Yeah... we’ll have our house near the beach, every morning we take a walk in the shores, reading some books in the balcony whilst having tea, watching the sunrise and sunset with you...” You paused as you look at the window whilst the moon slowly shows itself, it had surprise Kento that you had plan a future with him, he lower his head as he felt his tears threatening to flow.
“Maybe we'll get married there too, we’ll have our wedding and the venue in the beach, invite our friends and family, and have a good time. Maybe we’ll get a pet, you know how I love animals. Then maybe—just maybe... we could have a child together, running around the house, running at the sand, and sleeping in our bedroom. Yeah, that’s sounds about right...”
Your eyes left the window as you looked over at Kento whilst you heard a quiet sniffle, A soft yet weak laugh left your lips whilst he kept his head low, He had plan on quitting the Jujutsu life once they have found all the Sukuna fingers but he didn’t plan far ahead, “Don’t cry Kento or else I’ll start crying” A broken chuckled escaped as you tried your best not to cry.
A smile crept up on your lips as you began to raise his head, seeing him cry had broke your heart, he never cried in those years you’ve been together but you had seen his vulnerable side however all you wish is to see him smile one last time. “Kento...” you began to cup his cheeks as you caressed with your soft hands whilst he began to put his hand above your hand.
“I wanna see you smile, darling” You sob, your tears have left the corner of your eyes yet you still smile, he watch as your teary eyes flutter, your glassy tears roll down your cheeks, he then began to wipe your tears away whilst you kept staring at his beautiful eyes, “Darling..” “...Yes?”
“I don’t regret meeting you, because if I haven’t met you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today, thus why I want you to live longer than I did, We can meet again later on, Okay?” Finally, he gave you a genuine smile, it made you sob harder seeing how you won’t see that wonderful smile again, “I love you Y/N”, you didn’t said it back, instead, you grabbed his collar lightly and pulled him in until your lips met. It felt like the first kiss you’ve had with him, it felt like home.
You both pulled away, you stared into his eyes, and he stared into yours, your forehead is touching letting your tears fall as you both cup each others face. Your eyelids felt heavy as you slowly close your eyes, a small smile thug your lips ready to say your final words.
“Kento...” Your voice was weak and soft, it was almost a whisper, but nonetheless, he heard you say his name,“...Yes love?” A deep sigh escaped your lips as Kento waits for your final words.
“...You got it from here”
You both stayed, not letting each other go, you both stayed feeling each other’s warmth, you both stayed until your hands lets go of his face on its own, you both stayed until you took your last breath, you both stayed until you left him forever, you let your tears roll for the last time, he stayed holding you dearly.
He pulled away, yet you were still. He held you, he didn’t want to let go, after all, all he can do now is to cry whilst he held your lifeless body as he hear the flat line tune. And for the last time, he saw you sleeping peacefully, smiling.
“... I guess we’ll meet again, my love”
The sun has set, the moon has risen, the day will soon be over with a soul flying through the heavens far above.
Patient’s Name : L/N Y/N
Time of death : 7:30 PM
Date of death : July 30th of 2018
Cause of death : Brain Tumor
He wasn’t the same as before, he became a lot more reserve and rarely talks anymore, breaking the news to your family was agonizing, he had to witness your parents cry and breakdown, breaking the news to the first-year students was also agonizing, Gojo even have to excuse himself, you were the only one who made him feel like he was a normal human being rather than a God to worship, Megumi tried his hardest to kept his tears inside and as for Nobara and Yuuji, they burst into tears. Honestly, it was a sight he didn’t want to see.
The funeral was held, everyone who knew Y/N came, Seeing your grave simply breaks his heart, he didn’t cry, he simply couldn’t cry anymore, not because his upperclassman was here, it’s simply because he had cried out his tears that there were no tears left to cry. He stayed in front of your grave whilst the rain touch his suit.
Home wasn’t the same anymore, he’s so used to saying “I’m home, love” that he stills says that only to realize you weren’t there anymore and was only met with silence, There was no music when he comes home from work, There were no kiss before he leaves or when he comes home, it really hits hard for him. He tried living normally without you, he really did but your warmth brings him comfort, he can only see an empty space on his bed.
His sleeping schedule had gone worse, he didn’t want to sleep because he keep seeing you in his dream, he miss you so much. sometimes he can't help but think what would happen if he didn’t met you, surely he wasn’t in this state, he would be living peacefully, yet it wouldn’t feel right. His upperclassman tries his hardest to cheer him up, because he had promised you that he will try to comfort Kento in his lowest.
“You got it from here”. Your last words, it opened another memory of him, it was his last words, last words before he had his final breath and left him.
After a while, he slowly starts to accept it, he slowly starts to take care of himself more often, he finally starts sleeping more rather than staying almost all night just to ignore his dreams. He learned to accept it slowly, it still hurts him, but this is something you wouldn’t like. He never fails to come to your grave everyday with flowers in his hands, tells how his day went and how the others are doing. He tends to take care of your belongings, making sure their clean and well organize, it’s something that reminds him of you.
Yet here he is, Inside a special curses domain, he observed the place well, only to find that there was no way out. A deep sigh escaped his lips as he look at his opponent. He already accepted his fate, after all, there was nowhere left to run nor hide, maybe he can finally meet you again, your sweet and warm smile.
“Idle Transfiguration. I am grateful to you”, He gently remove his glasses putting it inside his blazer, “I don’t need gratitude” His lips curls up as he lazily smiles and utter, “I’ve already received it from lots of other. Thanks to Y/N, they made me feel what love is. I have no regrets.”
Until a fist suddenly made an appearance at the center of the domain, His eyes widen when he saw Itadori suddenly appearing from the air, then a familiar atmosphere sends shivers through his spine, he swore it felt like you, telling him to ‘Don’t rush your life, ken’ .
“Nanamin...” Itadori suddenly called him as he glanced over the pink haired teen, “What’s wrong? Itadori-kun” his voice was gentle and stern, his gaze soften when he saw Itadori’s saddened eyes.
“Aren’t you afraid?” He raised a brow curiously, “Afraid of what?” “Of you know, death... we fight curses, we don’t know when we’ll die...” He find himself taken back from his question, it’s not like other people question this to him but coming from a student, he didn’t blame him for being scared, he was just a student after all, he still have a lot to live yet his death is already planned.
He thought about it, his lips curled up as he let out a small chuckle whilst the boy glances at the blonde man, “...Why fear something unavoidable? everyone has to experience it, It’s only a matter of time.”
Death has time, time if you are ready, they say death is an “Internal Loneliness”, but he thinks it's quite different. He sees death as if it's like being free from the chains humans was imprisoned it. He interpret it as freedom, where you can finally rest peacefully, that’s how he sees death.
Yet he finds himself walking in an empty hallway in Shibuya, Half of his body is burned, he lost one of his eyes, he’s tired, no, he’s exhausted. He has been fighting curses for years, and years, the cycle never ends, he wanted to rest, rest with the others, rest with haibara, to rest with you.
Still, he fights as he sees the large group of curses in front of him, he wonders when this will end, he wonders when will he retire then all of the sudden he remembers the place you mentioned, Kuantan Malaysia.
“Malaysia. Yeah, Kuantan Malaysia... would be nice”
He imagines a life in a secluded beach, watching the sun rise and fall, watching the waves as it hits the rocks, finally get around to the countless books he bought but never read, Going through them page by page, kinda like taking back the time he have lost.
He had remembered about the others, he had to head over the save Fushiguro—’Wait, what about Maki and Naobito? they were also burned from that special grade curse. What happened to them...?’
“Kento.. you’re tired.” Tired... ‘Yeah... I’m just tired. I’ve done enough, Haven’t I?’ “You’ve done enough”
He still fights, even though he's tired. He sliced a curse, then again, then again, then again, until every curse that was near him was dead, standing in the middle after he sliced the last curse, Mahito suddenly appeared as he placed his palm onto his chest, the same curse he fought twice.
“I didn’t know you were here...”
“Yup. The whole time, wanna chat? We go way back after all.”
‘Haibara, Y/N... tell me, what the hell was I trying to do anyway? I already ran away but came back with a vague reason of finding work worthwhile. Sometimes I question myself, why did I go back?’
He suddenly saw his classmate, his best friend, Yu Haibara, in front of him pointing at his left only to see itadori suddenly stopped from running. ‘Did I came back... to help others after running away all those years ago...?’
“Nanamin!”
‘No... I can’t say that to him, that's not right. I’ll just end up becoming a curse for him... Hey, Y/N, Haibara, it’s alright, right?’
“Itadori..” He called his name as Itadori’s eyes widen, He give his final and genuine smile, “You got it from here..” He finally let out his last breath, Finally, He can finally rest with the others, Haibara, and you. He can finally go home. He hated that he was leaving everyone behind, but his selfish part of him was glad, glad that he can finally see you again.
He lazily opened his eyes while a light shines through making him squint as he put his hand above his head cancelling the light, He was finally able to adjust his eyes through the light, his eyes widen when he heard a familiar voice, “Oh! Nanami!”
He was speechless, he had stood still whilst he’s still processing. ‘Beach... Haibara...?’, It couldn’t been an another domain, there’s no mistake. He’s dead.
“Oi! Nanami! Are you there?” He called him again, finally, he snapped from thinking, he stared to Haibara, he still looked the same, he was still the Haibara he knew, he was still the Haibara he spend time with, “Oh my, Nanami you’ve age a lot for your age” The boy let out a laugh but it was cut off by a human’s warmth as he realized that Kento had hugged Haibara.
“Shut it. I can’t believe you left me first.” He let out a soft chuckle as he felt his friends arm wrapped his body returning the hug, “I didn’t think you’ll get into a relationship, I’m really happy for you” He slowly opened his eyes whilst they pulled away to each other as Haibara gave him a warm smile.
“They’re waiting for you.”
Without saying a word, Kento began to ran, ran towards the shore, He felt desperate yet he didn’t care, he wanted to see you again, he wanted to see your smile again, he wanted to hear your voice again, he wanted to feel your warmth again, he just wanted to be in your arms again, he wanted to go home on your arms.
After searching, he had finally found you, standing in the water, wearing a simple white dress as you look a the horizon, he had stood still, he wanted to see you yet he couldn’t believe that you were standing, you slowly glanced over Kento yet he still havent move. You slowly made your way towards his frozen body, it made you chuckle.
Here you are, standing in front of him, he was still as handsome the last time you saw him. “Hi Darling, I didn’t think you’d follow me sooner.” You slowly began to put your palm over his face whilst you gave him a sincere smile, “You did such a good job, It’s time for you to rest” you paused, as you reached out your other hand holding his whole face.
“Welcome home, Love”
He suddenly grabbed your waist as he pulled you close to his chest whilst his face was in the crook of your neck. He sobbed quietly, it felt unusual for him to cry, but he didn’t care anymore. He sobbed quietly, he can finally hear you again, feel you again, he can finally see you again. He sobbed quietly as he felt those familiar fingers finding their way through his hair, the feeling he loved to dearly. He sobbed quietly, He can finally say he really is home.
